Is this the same model that’s available for £199 brand new from Curry’s?

Any recommendations as to how good this is as a fan? General reviews I have read of similar Dyson fans seem to be that the air purifying aspect is great but the fan is quite poor

Honestly not sure why people say this. It's a very good fan and has made a huge difference to my room over the last few days in this heatwave.

I recommend refurbished Dyson fans over the new ones, my all three fans are refurbished and they are brilliant, two of them were replaced under warranty from new, one was bought as refurbished. It's not only my opinion, refurbished ones, especially older models have bad batch bearings replaced. (edited)

So you'd recommend a refurb over a new one (even if the prices were the same) 🤷

How tall is it? Will it reach over a bed

This one is 249 at curry’s. But it doesn’t work with the app if that’s important. It was for me, so I sent it back.

Don't do it. Get a meaco instead. My Dyson is going back. Waste of money

What is the model of Meaco are you recommending? Thanks.

Dyson today are not what they used to be quality wise. Moved all their manufacturing out of the UK to reduce labour costs and claimed Brexit was the cause, also using more flimsy plastics again to reduce costs, but also affects their quality. My animal roller ball Dyson is a classic example. Too flimsy and seriously struggles on our carpets which are high pile. Even the brush stops spinning. My wife says it's too much of a workout so we bought a cheaper Vax upright which does a better job now. The Dyson has been demoted to simply cleaning the cars out. I see Dyson as overpriced tat

Been saying this for years, I’ve opened up plenty of these hoovers, including the ball type, and in your one it’s not even a Dyson motor, it’s a Panasonic one.

Trigger switch or s poorly designed, awful spring, generic parts everywhere, it’s poor!

The code is no longer working.
