Reviews say this phone battery is terrible, I'm desperate for a new phone but one of the reasons is the battery on my Huawei mate 20 pro (had it since release) is borked and dies within a day. Is this phone going to be the same right off the bat?
    obwan2014's avatar
I have this phone. Battery is poor (doesn't seem to last a day without charging on really low use) and charging is slow. Fingerprint sensor is a pain - often doesn't work, plus you can't (I haven't found a way yet), just press the fingerprint to open, you need to press a physical button first to show the the fingerprint icon on the screen. Xiaomi Poco F3 before, way better battery, faster charging, fingerprint button on the physical on button, so all in one.
I do like this phone, but the above two issues are super annoying.
Deal itself seems really good though! (edited)

Topcashback tracked for me so makes the deal even better, £34 back. Way to do it is to get the deal in your basket, then go through topcashback and it should still be there waiting for you to checkout at £15.95 a month

They declined it for me :-( disappointed , let me knows if your goes though and I may they and retrigger it

Looks like £40 TopCashBack / £30 Quidco (new contracts)

(Edit...having read further comments, maybe not). (edited)

£100 extra with the cost spread over two years, during which time you get calls and data too? how much was your sim to make it “a much better deal”?
  5. Wall-E's avatar
Is this total cost for 24 months including phone and data? (edited)

Anybody know if this tariff is only available on the black colour? I'm looking for the Sea coloured one. When I search for tariffs for sea it doesn't show this one.
    GoingNowhere's avatar
Don't search for the phone, try this:

Click on menu then Sale. Scroll down til you see the deal then click on the picture of the phone, not the buy it now button. Select the colour you want and scroll down to see the deals and add the appropriate one to your basket.

I tried getting ID Mobile to match this, or at least get close enough. There wasn't really any budging from the prices on their website so I guess to ID Mobile no profit is better than a reduced profit.

Here come the pixel deals I'm waiting for a pixel 7 Pro deal

This is better because it doesn't use the woeful O2 network.

Anybody put off by the bezel?

It's not that large when using the device.

    Heat from me.

You just can't moan about the contract deals on the Pixel's.
    D1ckTurpin's avatar
Well, you can moan really... what about the annual price increase on these contract deals?
"Talkmobile increase both the cost of your SIM only and phone contract annually during your contract based on the CPI rate for January plus 3.9% on top. So this year customers’ bills went up by 14%."

    This is amazing

Just snapped this up. Was paying more with ID mobile which has a shocking signal. Glad to go back to a Vodafone service plus ID wanted more for this deal with only 25gb a month. Win win.

Good deal any buds with this ?
  19. stealth00's avatar
Can anyone find the deal once you visit the site through Topcashback?
    Steveh19's avatar
No. Tried it with Quidco and got the same thing. Noticed it did it with another pixel deal on hukd. Seems to filter them out.

Good deal! Shame Google/Currys have stopped the amazing trade in offers from earlier in the year (edited)

What’s this phone like for gaming ? My 8 year old nephew is asking for the Samsung s20 fe as. his mums got it.
    jtx's avatar
I had an s20 refreshed off Amazon for less and it seems brand new. I imagine the pixel is a better phone though
  22. madoka_ayukawa's avatar
To put this into perspective, I'm paying £15 a month sim only on VOXI, and it's only 75gb a month. So if I get this deal, the phone will cost me only under £50.
    GlssEyeBill's avatar
I'm on 100gb with talk mobile at the moment for £12 a month, so for an extra £3 I'd be silly not to
  23. D1ckTurpin's avatar
What I take exception to is that fact that all these phone contract posts are misleading when stating total price (£401.80)!
If you take into account CPI + inflation you are talking total price of around £454. (Talkmobile increased their tariffs by 14% last year). It's basically encouraging people to buy contracts with false information. Yes, there is a warning that "prices may rise during contract" but some people skim past that a look only at the 'supposed' total figure. Then wonder why their bill ends up 25-30% higher by the end.
    BondF's avatar
For some people that true but someone spent his time to put together all the important info and if you really want to buy something at least read what he write there but on top of that you should double check what are you buying on the website from where you buy.It your fault is you didn't care about your money. This site helps you save time and money but can't make the right choice for each individual.
  24. mohammad26's avatar
as i believe the contract is on vodafone, so can i use vodafone apps?
    KodaBear's avatar
The contract is from TalkMobile. They are 100% owned by Vodafone but it’s still a separate brand. TalkMobile has its own app, and you wouldn’t be eligible to use Vodafone’s apps and services including the likes of VeryMe.

Anyone else getting £19.95 when going through to complete the transaction. The mins, texts and data stay the same but the price changes
  26. cp1's avatar
    No still 15.95 still here
  27. dognobs's avatar
My phone is 4 years old and the USB port won't charge very well so I have ordered this hope is it upgrade from my Moto g 8 plus. £30 quidco cashback as well already tracked. I was paying £9 a month with smarty so for me this is a no brainer.
    cp1's avatar
It's a huge upgrade in the screen and camera department along with the benefits of pixel -specfic software features. Great phone
