Would this model develop double clicking over time? I have the g703 wireless one and the double clicking has gotten worse over the past few months

All mice with mechanical switches (which is almost all mice) have the potential to develop the unwanted double clicking issue over time.
There are a small number of mice available that use optical switches instead, which in theory are not suceptible to the double clicking issue.
For Logitech that's the "G502 X" line of mice only.
Razer also sells a well regarded mouse with optical switches but, as always, recommend doing your own research... (edited)

I had been looking for a new mouse and this is a massive price reduction. Great spot, ordered, thank you!

Price reduction? These always have been £30

If you want to reduce the weight even further you can use AAA batteries in a AA adapter. I used rechargable AAA batteries and it makes a surprisingly big difference.

I was surprised how back heavy this mouse was although I was spoilt by the Pro X Superlight before. I didn't have any adapters so I've used some tinfoil and remove the back cover in use and the difference is insane. Folks also seem to buy lithium AAA instead of alkaline and that drops it another 5g or so.

Amazon have had this a few times between 16-20 Pound over the past few years.
    I paid 16.99 for mine in 2021.

Too heavy, but otherwise a great mouse.

Can be reduced to about 80g with a aaa and tinfoil

Had one of these for about 4 years now. Absolutely the best mouse i've ever owned. Get a AAA plastic battery converter and some AAA lithium batteries and one battery will last for months.

    Makes it lighter too.

I've had this mouse for nearly two years, and let me tell you the amount of times I've dropped it from my desk is staggering.. yet it works as new. Awesome mouse for it's money, think I paid around £23 but I wouldn't mind paying double.

A great reliable mouse. Not sure £29.99 is a deal but a solid purchase anyway for a full size mouse.

How does this compare to mx master 3
Is it worth the extra cost?

Some people report lagging issues with that mouse apparently, others seem to love it.

How does this compare to the gpro wireless?

Brilliant mouse for the money - I got one for my gaming laptop, and it works great, lightweight, precise, comfortable (for me), and is still on its first battery a year later! (maybe I dont use it enough - I always switch it off when not in use)

Definitely worth the money (although I think I snagged mine for even cheaper)

On a lot of mice I find my thumb starts slipping on the side of the mouse when lifting it up during long gaming sessions and occasionally pressing the side buttons by mistake. Can I ask if you have this problem with this mouse? Cheers bud!

Would this mouse be ok for claw-grippers?
    tudorb29's avatar
Will be good for claw, mouse is small enough

I have this for just over a year .. I started to experience double click issue. Reached out to logitech and they are taking forever to replace or repair it.. Initially they declined to support and asked me to reach out to the retailer.. After a bit of escalation they started to look at the issue .. I couldn’t believe how bad the customer service is..

Lot of reaching out there - were you in the Four Tops?

I’ve got 4 of these over the last 3/4 years. They get daily bashed about and not a single fault. Used for casual gaming and hammered for office use. The dedicated DPI button is awesome as some other mice require you to install software on laptops so you can use it, where as this has 4 presets already. (Business / work laptops have admin restrictions stoping you installing manufacturer software).

I’ve only come round to changing 2 of the batteries from the mice and you get a battery included with a mini usb extension lead to plug in the usb receiver. Great for DVR recorders which only have usb ports at the back.

I would recommend these mouses all day long especially at this price . I have previously bought these from £20 - £30

This or the steelseries rival 3?

Mine sometimes double clicks, and the clicking noise is pretty loud.
I probably wouldn't buy this mouse again.
  16. alexbarnsley's avatar
FYI I've had 2 of these in the past that developed the same fault whereby it wouldn't register left clicks all the time. It did take a few months of heavy usage so still voted hot as it's a good price (edited)

Months is not good enough lol

Mine has been without issue since 2019 however.

On my second G305 now. Bought it from Currys in the £18.99 summer deal last year so this doesn't seem such a great deal but it's a great mouse that's for sure.
