65 inch TV - around £600/£700

My 58 inch Philips has gone kaput after only 2 1/2 years...never again!

Any advice on best budget/midrange TV for this amount of money? Possibly go more for a really good deal!

Finding it hard to negotiate reviews and different UK and US models!

Many thanks!

The shyster that sold your the durability-lacking busted rubbish holds the legal durability obligation,
so don't bin the prematurely-busted TV until you've presented your Consumer Rights Act claim.

What would be a reasonable longevity expectation of the TV if it hadn't prematurely busted?
    6 years? 8 years?
Just present your CRA claim to the original merchant and/or credit provider if even partially purchased via regulated credit.
Example simple claim template via respected consumer mag Which? at
    which.co.uk/con…lgZ

After the usual greased-shoulder posturing and then reality-check,
the claim should be good for future minimum 50% refund of original purchase price to retrospectively offset against the cost of TV you are about to purchase.
The retailer may choose to repair the prematurely-busted rubbish, although unlikely, but if so it could be sold post-repair to reclaim some financial benefit.

Currys = crap customer service. Tried phoning and they hung up on me. Tried emailing and it got returned....! So guessed at the CEO's email and at least got a response saying they'll look into it!

    Cheers for the advice 👌

Don't bother checking review, you don't have many op6for the budget.
Get one from those give you 5/6 years warranty.

Would stretching to 800/900 make much difference? Definitely can't go past £900....

for budget i go really go bargain basement like chinese hisense or something.... then add a cheap £30-£50 sound bar. Is the picture quality great? not if you want to have home cinema experience, but if you're not a TV/Movies fanatic i find it good enough.

Check RicherSounds, sign up to their email and you'll be a VIP. I'm sure I seen a 75" Hisense for £600 the other day. They also offer 6 year warrantys with most TVs for free but some you have to pay the extra to add them same with their AV Recivers

Depends on a number of factors. What sort of TV you want, some sort of LCD or OLED. What your viewing needs are, and if you want or need any specific features like next gen gaming?

If your not very technical, it can get rapidly confusing when you start breaking down all industry acronyms for the different types and the technology.
