these are really holding their price - got the M4 3-pack for £89 three years ago from ebuyer.

may be worth spending another tenner for the M4 for the gigabit ethernet ports. have mine wired for fast ethernet backhaul.

I don't understand how 100mbps are still on the market. Should be half the price of gigabit at least. Regardless of whether you have an internet speed of 100mbps or not you'll avoid 100mbps bottlenecking your home network with gigabit. (edited)

Remember one of these connects to your modem via ethernet so if your Internet service is faster than 100Mbps look at M4 or S4 for the gigabit ports. 🏻
I have the M4s and they transformed wifi speeds around our home (even without ethernet backhaul) highly recommended! (edited)

You mean Ethernet backhaul, all Mesh Systems use a backhaul thats how the mesh nodes communicate with each other.

Could anyone tell me. I know 1 has to connect to the modem. I have A long ethernet cable going round the house to downstairs.Could I plug that one in to the Mesh+modem for it to to get internet or do they only connect by wifi?

this mention the mesh setup as router mode.

I have mine in access point mode - one M4 mesh device downstairs , ethernet wired to router.
two mesh devices upstairs - one wired to router, second wired to first mesh device.

now have stable wifi with gigabit backhaul. I wired it differently for a while and didn't notice that it disabled ethernet backhaul and wondered why my wifi became unreliable.

I wouldnt be buying E4 even if my internet was slower than 100mbps, Worth spending the extra on the M4 and S4 devices.

If anyone in the know could help be appreciated. I have 1gig broadband would you still get decent WiFi speeds or is that capped at 100. Also for devices next to router via Ethernet is that 100 max or is that just on the 2 other ones. Thanks
