Where can I get a cheap legit Windows 11 key for this? I'm a student.

Nice deal, especially with 32GB ram.
    Shame there's no touchscreen option.
You can upgrade to 3year onsite warranty for an extra £73 which I think is worth it.

What would battery life be like on this?

Lenovo are slaying everyone else in this space at the moment. I know the shipping is slow and much of the benefit is from removing the OS but still a great price for what you get. That CPU with integrated 780M is no joke.
  11. ttttd's avatar
This is one hell of a spec for the price..

Well I've just gone and bought it. I hear the battery life is so-so, hoping I can improve it for general use by undervolting and turning down the refresh rate. (edited)

tempted but i dont really need a laptop

That's me with everything in this app

Tempted to sell my legion 7 pro which I rarely use (kidding myself with a toddler!) and just get this instead. I guess you could add an eGPU to this if needed as it has USB C 4?
    komi's avatar
Yes - correct, eGPU can be added to the USB 4 port.
  15. WhaleTrain's avatar
Heck of a pro spec but a shame you can't configure it with a dGPU.
    komi's avatar
the iGPU is very good, have the option of USB 4 so can add an eGPU when at home

    bought - excellent deal

Anyone's thoughts on this? I'm very tempted to get this. Would make a good development machine for on the go.
    Smoggy1970's avatar
Excellent CPU and bags of RAM.
It's also got the best integrated graphics of any mobile processor.
  19. Ulti's avatar
Tempted to sell my Razer Blade 15 10750H + 1660 Ti Mobile for this as it won't cost much more to upgrade (could probably get £450 on eBay for my laptop after fees and postage).

Though even with 3x CPU performance, double the ram, I'm losing out a bit at 66% the GPU performance so I'm not sure it'd be the smartest move as I'm not really struggling for CPU performance or ram.

Hopefully we have a deal on next gens 880M at this price too next year or whenever! (edited)

Think about the power savings and extra long battery life... save you alot of money over time. The CPU performance in this is crazy high.

Ordered, and picked up windows 10 for a tenner.
Any tips for installation of the drivers?
    agent_pires's avatar
download and install from a usb/sd card.
  25. designer_friend's avatar
    Would this work with Linux?
    agent_pires's avatar
From Reddit, (can't remember the exact thread but you can google) it said there's some issues but think that's mainly Lenovo drivers. I'd suggest checking on Reddit as there's quite a few Europeans who own the laptop.

Looks like its no longer working - anyone able to check the code because there's reports of it still working for some people?
    agent_pires's avatar
    Nah code is dead now

So close to buying this, as it seems perfect and excellent value for money, what 14" alternatives would anyone recommend , preferably thin and metal?

Those who bought this laptop, does anyone have a problem with the display being yellowish/green tinted?
No I don't have any custom colour profile, and nor is any colour filter or night mode enabled.

I've seen lots of displays and screens, and never have I seen such a murky screen. Even my 11 year old Asus laptop has better colour reproduction than it. Not only that, but my £90 Android tablet from AliExpress has better colours than it.

Even if I go to AMD panel in display and bump up the colour temperature to extra cool (8000+ K), the whites a better but there is still that yellow/green tint present.

My gut feeling is that due to the discount, they supply you with lower quality components just to clear out their inventory.

I didn't notice that on mine, the colours were spot on. I'd see if Lenovo can swap it for another unit.

Just got mine and I love it. I wasn’t expecting this build quality, the keyboard, chassis and screen are amazing. Very happy with my purchase, thanks Op
