    still cant decide whether to replace my bust broken and battered old Onkyo (only works on optical now, let along 4k etc).....but if so, prob worth the extra £10 to get from Peter Tysons own site for the 5yr warranty instead

    i have the non DAB x1700h the remote does not light up, but has a glow-in-the-dark effect on the white buttons

    I've had this for about 9 months now and it's excellent. Links to my HiSense U8H 65" TV and eARC works great with my 5.1 speaker set up.

    So I have an old 2311 AVR from Denon that's just super old but I use it with my VT65 plasma which is only 1080p. If I buy this am I wasting my money? I'd like something newer with better image processing and potential to upscale to 4k or something? Advice pls

    I got the x1600h in 2020 and it bust this year, turned itself off and won’t come back on. Probs my own fault for not providing enough air flow but these things get stupid hot even when doing nothing.

    on 5.1 yamaha works great, will upgrade when 5.4.1 or 7.4.1 is around £500
    not worth it for the 2 extra speakers albeit overhead

    How would this be with an Xbox Series X at UHD 120Hz? I saw that the 2700H required an external box to resolve issues? The spk618.
