Philips DAB+ & Bluetooth stereo radio M2505/10 Remote 10w Currently £66 on Amazon

Price seems to be different at different stores. At my local one in Warrington it is £59. Also the box seemed to be open (3 in stock, all with box opened).

Bought it from the Newport (Shropshire} Aldi last week at this price {all gone this week} Bad Points~ Display not that bright No option of battery power - just mains via power adaptor Good points~ Good speaker sound quality with selectable deep bass Bluetooth V.Quick to pair with phone for podcasts, & the supplied remote pauses & resumes podcast Slightly better DAB receiver than my old unit - I'm in a poor reception area Worth it for £40

my advice for you is to buy it and I'll give you a tenner, just to stop you overthinking about it. peace.

It was available at the Retford store where I got one at the same price because its useful to have a substantial Bluetooth speaker with a remote control (I send grey noise to it to mask the noise of my neighbour) and it is one of those rare DAB+ radios with an aerial connector so I have also made up a copper shielded coax cable to connect to the FM/DAB antenna on the house. Annoying it went down another tenner the week after and is this week no longer available. It will be a case of hold your nerve and gamble if you do want one for a tenner less and risk it going out of stock or paying a tenner more with it more likely still in stock.

Hi HerefordCiderApples, I apologise if it came across that i was contradicting myself, the only point i was trying to make was that if there was an issue we would be more than happy to assist even after the first year. Kind regards

Doesn't fill me with confidence when the retailer contradicts themselves. Imagine what it will be like in two years time and the retailer washes their hands of the sale!

I had a pure dab radio the rubber coated one which became sticky over time and was hard to clean. Contacted the company and received one of these as a replacement even though mine was not made anymore and was out of warranty. Can't fault the customer service at all.

Hi Dennis, I can confirm that it would be up to Hughes to deal with any issues in the first year, then years 2 and 3 are dealt with by Pure themselves. But if any issues were to arise even after the first year then please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards

Would I be correct in thinking that in the first year of warranty, Hughes would deal with it and years 2 and 3, Pure would be responsible ? Or is there a different arrangement these days ?

Got three DAB radios at work, different brands, and just hate how all three change from digital to FM and visa versa if you try to alter the volume mode, drives me and my mates daft.

Sorry to say I've had 3 majority internet radios all last just over the year long warranty, last one I bought refurbed and that's just gone to as was sick of paying over the odds for faulty product. Not tried their DAB though but won't buy that brand again.

I'd never buy from a company who don't recognise the CRA, adaptors are covered by CRA whatever the vendor's T&Cs say. It's a red flag to me.

You should read reviews of Roberts radios before buying. All sorts of reports of faults with mains adaptors as well as the radios. Adaptors aren`t covered under warranty. I learned the hard way. Would never buy another. If you need a DAB radio look at Majority. A UK firm with excellent reviews.

Fair enough and you can also buy more deals at costco for a year..

Yes unfortunately you do need to be a member or know someone who is. Even with paying the £15 annual online only subscription makes it cheaper than buying elsewhere. No experience of returns from online, but purchases in-store are never an issue, great customer services

good spot. You have to buy an annual subscription (£15) or individual membership (£33.60) as a minimum though, don't you? How do costco fare when it comes to dealing with faults, warranty issues and overall customer service? That's also a consideration when forking out this amount of cash, imo.

price that i can see is -- is there a code ? Price: £59.99 Was* Was:£109.00

Certainly are. The Made in Japan ones fetch silly money. Once they started making them in Korea and China the quality dropped immensely and so did the desirability.

Many ghetto blasters of that era were quality pieces of kit. Very sought after now.

I've got that exact one. It's bruised and battered now, but still going. Got it in 85 (y)
