Smart watches

Been looking at buying a smartwatch for a while now and seen the galaxy watch 4 on Amazon for £106.75 (student prime price is giving double discount for some reason) looking at reviews battery life seems to be the biggest issue. I have also seen the amazfit gt3 for £109 on Argos which seems decent and better battery life. I do prefer the look of the galaxy watch but is it worth spending a bit extra for a later model for better battery?
Or if someone can recommend a watch it would be appreciated. Prob about £150 for a 1st watch.
Thanks

Unless you are happy charging roughly every 48 hours i'd stick to a normal watch. Your smartphone will be able to do 99% of what the watch can do

Think mines the watch 3, as above said you will have to charge it probably every 2 days, doesn't bother me as its quick to charge anyways, I usually just stick it on when I get home for a bit and works for me

Can't fault the galaxy watch 4. I got the 40mm one. Needs charging every 24 hours but not really an issue. Either charge it over night or personally I track my sleep so I charge it soon as I wake up, doesn't take long.

Long story short, most smart watches will only last a couple of days at most. If you want a longer battery life you need to go with like e-ink style screens (MIP Screens) like most of the Garmins, they last 7+ days (with always on, GPS etc all on). Or a hybrid smartwatch. It's personal opinion if you find it "hassle" to charge more and the timings of such if the sleep tracking side of the stats is something you are interested in.
You should be able to pickup a couple of Garmin models for under £150 and ignore all the marketing that might make you feel they aimed only for running etc. Personally I've both a Wear Os watch (Fossil) and a Garmin Forerunner 245, they both have advantages and disadvantages over each other outside of the biggest being the battery life, think you need to answer that part yourself before making a decision on pathways to go down. I have 2 Samsung smart watches & both need charging every night. That is why I rarely use them & if I do use them they go back in the drawer until I feel like grabbing them out again. Unlike my Honor watch that I can wear for well over a couple of weeks without charging.
