Quidco is offering £25 bonus cashback for pixel 8 purchase for (you need to opt in to the bonus)
Carphone Warehouse, giffgaff phone, Mobile Phones Direct and Three Handset Contracts

Carphone is 55 cashback plus 25 bonus making this 622.50 or so for 100gb ID mobile

Giffgaff should in theory be 699+£10 topup, -£50 quidco -25 bonus = £634 but the phone isn't on their site yet. (edited)

Good spot, especially GG for those who probably just want the handset.

How does something like this compare with a Samsung galaxy S23 ultra?
    HotDan's avatar
Depends what you're after. The screen on the S23 Ultra is great and it's massive but these Pixel cameras will be better. The S23 Ultra and Pixel 7 cameras (normal, not Pro) are about the same, both just sneak into the top 15. The software will be a lot better with the Pixel 8 but it's very early, I've not read/watched much in depth.

Will have all the new features and Unlimited Google photo storage with evolution x or pixel experience shortly.

Think it's alittle shocking they stopped offering the Unlimited storage. (edited)

anyone else notice how 90% of the features they talked about in the event were Pixel pro only? Swear everything was 'with your pixel pro' etc etc. hmm
    benfisher1991's avatar
Yup and 50% of the features are coming in a later feature drop... What's the point of that.

If anyone currently due an upgrade with ID mobile this might be the time. They just offered me a stonking offer for the 8 PRO, £99 upfront and £29.99 a month for unlimited data/texts/calls and the fre watch. Total cost before CPI for 2 years £818.76, less than the rep of the phone, nuts
    MrClifford's avatar
Cheers, mine and the wife's contracts up next week and checked online, both eligible to upgrade!

    There's also a £26.99/m 25gb option for a total cost before CPI of £747.75! Nuts! 51125569-AgZUz.jpg

Fgs I've only just got myself on the 7 Pro the other week xD

8 Pro is not much of an upgrade for a lot more money.

With the buds pro this deal is hot!
  8. LovetoLaugh's avatar
    Thankyou for this deal.
If I buy the phone outright will I be able to use any network sim card or does it have to be the ID network? Thankyou x
    MrSwitch's avatar

Yeah! You can use it with any sim

51127210-DM1Qu.jpgThis colour in my opinion is the best. I am an Apple phone user, however this colour actually tempted me to change. Shame the newer model does not have this option

I'm still on the 6 Pro and it works flawlessly still. I've just signed for a £6 per month simo and waiting til next year for the second generation of the fold to change handsets. I can't see any benefit in upgrading to the new pro. Such incremental improvements with standard handsets these days. Folding tech needs to improve another year or two and that will be the thing to get.
    T_J_B's avatar
I'm in the same position, the only legitimate reason I can see for an upgrade would be when OS support runs out.

I hope so, I'm already on ID but out of contract so looking to switch, not seen any deals that beat ID though!

Crazy how they can offer the pro for 80 under rrp (edited)
  16. Mabbs's avatar
Looks great, though I couldn't live with a phone that charges so slowly. Once you have experienced 65w or above, there's no going back.
    tek-monkey's avatar
I generally charge mine at night
  17. Luky_460's avatar
Reckon there'll be any good deals on the 7s now that these have been released?
    innocent's avatar
Probably but this is a terrific deal OP has posted for 8 as a bundle imho.
  18. UR_mindblowing's avatar
Can i select watch color while ordering 8 pro, i dont see tht option any clue
    Donna80's avatar
The Google terms page says we can choose when we submit our proof of receipt. Mobiles believe they only receive and ship out black. So I'm suspecting that Mobiles have it wrong. (edited)
  19. Craig_ward's avatar
It states from the 5th for the free buds and watch , I have just ordered ?

I have bought the pro direct as got £270 for my standard 7 plus £100 credit for being a 2TB plan holder. Happy with that (edited)

My experience with iD was bad. Awful signal compared to full three ..was a huge difference
    ZedEx's avatar
I guess is where you live. I was sceptical but went with ID Mobile for the Pixel 7 as was a great deal with £150 cashback, so thought I would try it. Been with ID since March and found signal and data speeds to be better that O2 who I was with before.
  21. imcheap69's avatar
Would be hot🔥if they had trade in. I need my Pixel 7 gone

    What sort of photography?

When are these expected to appear on shop floors? I'd like to have a look at the Pixel 8.
    Craig_ward's avatar
Seen them this morning in the 02 store , the Bay Pro looks amazing , frosted.blue glass with silver on the back and looks the same size as my base 7
  25. DatAlbino's avatar
Coming from back to back Samsung's, including an Ultra, I've always been jealous of Pixel and iPhone cameras. Samsung cameras for me are so hit and miss - you capture stunning shots when everything is PERFECT, but if there's any flux (which in life there always is) - poor lighting, movement, even just the app messing up, the shot is poor. I'm no photographer, but most people aren't, and having a 9/10 snap-and-shoot phone where the heavy lifting is on the software, not the user, is much better than a high specced camera with tons of fiddling to MAYBE get a better, but often get a worse, shot.

I picked up the 256GB 8 pro with the watch for £998 all in, 100GB data. £180 trade in for this (now) god awful phone. Thanks OP!
    UR_mindblowing's avatar
Keep in mind 17% or more price hike coming in march/april coming based on cpi outcome which will increase monthly mobile plan charges
  26. MagazineBrian's avatar
Ended up ording the hazel one 256gb good deal
  27. Barry121's avatar
what type of prices do you think we're likely to see around black Friday on Pixel 8 pro handset only.

I'm tempted to go for it now via Google store but tbh the Google watch isn't my cup of tea and the buds aren't something I need either as I already have some wireless headphones that are doing what I need them to.

So this leaves me wondering should I hold off until BF deals start popping up rather than pulling the trigger now. (edited)

    Probably 8 pro at £899, 8 at £599 at a guess

Go via topcashback instead! The desktop link isn't working however works through the app! Mine has just tracked at £45 (albeit it's supposed to be £60).

How does this phone compare to iPhone 13?
Also I’m seeing so many people saying they can’t get a signal with ID on 3. Is this why they’re offering the lowest deals on this provider!
    tek-monkey's avatar
This is what worries me, what if you get the phone and have no signal?
  30. r9000's avatar
The only problem with these deals is that if the phone has a fault you are screwed. ID Mobile will want to take it back and take their sweet time fixing it, so you need a spare. What's more, no opportunity to transfer your data directly to a new device.

It might be worth paying a bit more to get it from Google direct. I went through 3 Pixel 7 Pros due to faults.
    Evo_Lution's avatar
Three pixels due to faults? Wow sign me up for one
  31. leprejohn's avatar
Can I port my number from three to ID mobile? my contract for my pixel 6 is up at the end of the month so looking at getting the pixel 8. As three have not released their prices yet so I can't upgrade, ideally looking for unlimited data.
  32. Sam_Menary's avatar
This or the S23? Basically the same price
    DrunkOnRedWine's avatar
S23 has a better processor and is more energy efficient. The Qualcomm 8 Gen 2 is class leading.

Pixel has very strong AI features if you like that sort of thing and is clever the way it works with software with the Tensor chip
  33. Mietas's avatar
So many good deals for Pixel and S23! I want to downsize from Fold4 but don't know ow if it better to wait foe Samsung S24 maybe :/
  34. aeonf242's avatar

The T&C's on Google's page state "Purchase must be made on Google Store UK."
How can you be sure that you'll get that Pixel watch if buying through a third party?
