I bought an LG USB DVD drive from Currys a few years ago and it has been fine.
Looking on the Currys web site today I see there are only 3 USB DVD drives available and the only brand I have heard of is ASUS who are another \"quality\" brand.
As DVDs become less popular I think many of the main brands are no longer making USB DVD drives.
Could he take advantage of streaming rather than using DVDs?, though he would need to sign up for a streaming service like Amazon Prime, Netflix etc.
Also if he has a \"friend\" who has Sky contract he could install the SkyGo app on his laptop, log on as his \"friend\", and then watch anything on Sky on his laptop.
I do this for my brother, he logs on as me on the SkyGo app on his laptop and can watch the Sky football on his laptop."},{"@type":"Comment","@id":"https://www.hotukdeals.com/comments/permalink/51144775","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Roger_Irrelevant"},"datePublished":"2023-10-07T21:02:34.000Z","text":"I've got an Asus one for ripping DVD's, it's been absolutely brilliant for about 3+ years. I'll get you the model number if you want, but it's upstairs at the moment.
