If you've any sort of console or android device hooked up to the TV, Jackbox is great. Don't need controllers, everyone can do it on their phones.
Drawful and Fibbage in particular are both fun and good for the whole family (assuming you trust them to keep their contributions age appropriate) if you're wondering which version to get.

I used to buy the dvd games
What's wrong with stuff like Monopoly (lots of "Editions"), Scalextric, Chess, giant Jenga etc.
We find the one's that work best are where whole family can play, and it's competitive so there's tons of interaction.
It helps if the game/gadget etc. isn't tacky and low quality, which I know limits a lot of modern stuff.

Good idea on games but I want something funny, like in past fart machine, car that drives up wall. I know tacky but kids love
