Wouldn't you need to buy a UK charger on top?
    sbodyontheweb's avatar
You can buy a socket adapter and use the original EU charger

Remember with samsung you get a quality product not just specs that do not get updated after 1 month
    C0mm0d0re_K1d's avatar
Do hardware specs ever get updated?

Unless your talking about late firmware or software updates to support hardware (already present) that previously didn't work correctly or at all?

So your saying that only Apple and Samsung are capable of making quality products. I suppose you only shop at Amazon as well!

Oh dear, you do realise that all Apple products are only designed in California, but manufactured entirely in the far East / south East Asia / China by Foxconn (iPhone and ipad city)

Samsung have some products manufactured or assembled in other parts of Asia and China as well. Many Japanese and Korean companies use Chinese components or assembly to. It's all about the cost to profit ratio.

It's amazing the kind of profit margins the big boys like Apple and Samsung manage to retain on what surely are rather average specs (8/256) given the low prices of RAM and storage today. I've recently been looking for a decent 8 inch Android tablet and came across the iPlay Mini Pro with Helio G99/8GB/256GB/1200p screen and dual 4G SIMs; was delivered yesterday by Ali and was gobsmacked at the value for £135 inclusive of the 20% Brexit tax. It's fast with the 8GB RAM, has a great screen and with a 99p Lebara SIM I don't bother with tethering when I'm outside.

The prices charged for equivalent base specs by the big boys are mind boggling, for some reason LTE costs £100 extra when the APUs being used already come with LTE capability baked in and interestingly, Apple even hobbles the SIM functionality making it data only when Chinese tabs such as these allow full voice/dial capabilities!! Why so much cheaper in France? I was lucky to get the 128Gb version for £410 through EPP.

Absolutely baffling that a tablet from 2019 (galaxy tab s5e) is still better than the latest tablet of the same range. Super Amoled, 4 speakers, perfect for watching movies and shows
    Robdataff's avatar
My s5e is still going strong. It's great for media. Sadly, security updates are ending soon, and it's definitely slower than my other tabs... A bit frustrating sometimes.

Saying that, still a great bit of kit, they really got it right.

For that price you might as well just get an iPad
