No point unless it had a slate bed.

As per all the other comments, this may be okay for kids (and do their game a lot of good!) or a casual knock-around, but a proper slate bed table will be far superior and a better option if you can.

You don't need to spend 1000's though. Ebay's full of 2nd hand tables and generally nice ones go for around £500-600, but there's bargains to be had too for £300 or so if you're patient and keep looking.

You have to be careful, but they dismantle easily (English, not American) and 2 or preferably 3 strong people can move it in a medium size van, which can be hired for less than £100.

And the other great things about slate tables bought 2nd hand is that unless abused, they'll hold their 2nd hand value and not depreciate any further, so if you buy wisely, you'll always be able to get your money back if and when you choose to sell it on.

Just showed my wife the third picture and said "that could be us" and she just left the room 😔

It's a pool table not a time machine.

Wish I had room. Well, wish I had a big enough house in general.

I would love one but there is no room, plus my wife would start moaning.

My other half would have loved this. She loved playing pool and would often give me a good game. Shame she died young as I've no one to go halves with now! 🤷

My wife said if I choose to buy this pool table she's leaving. As she was walking out, I said wait! She turned around with a smile on her face. I said, do you wanna go halves on it? I'm really sad, she left a pile of ironing she didn't finish as well

My floors level. But I did it myself rather than getting someone else in who never treats it like their own home.

220mm joists whereas most use 100mm. I then also had the spacing at 240mm whereas some put the spacing at 600mm between joists. I then screwed everything down and used a vapour barrier underneath and a damp proof membrane at the very bottom under the insulation.
