32” full HD smart TV - is there a good one?

I want to buy a new TV for my elderly dad so he’d be able to watch iPlayer and access streaming services.

He doesn’t have much space, and doesn’t need something Uber fancy, so could anyone recommend a solid 32” or below full HD TV with smart functions and a decent, comprehensible UI? Apple TV built in would be nice too as he’s got an iPad but not essential.

The cheaper the better too.

Many thanks in advance!

At the smaller sizes like that there’s not really a ‘good’ product. They’re all pretty much cheap and cheerful. Most do the job totally fine but with nothing special.

For example, don’t buy into a brand name. Sony TVs at 32 inches are mostly all the same as what you’ll pick up at a supermarket with a price premium for the brand name. Unlike the larger screen sizes where it really does pay to spend more for a better picture.

For a 32 inch smart TV that works well and can be bought cheaply I tend to say Argos own brand Bush (Or Toshiba if you find at the right price - They are identical TVs inside with different brand names)

If you happen to have an Argos Clearance Bargains store close to you, go there for sure as there will be good savings compared to the catalog prices.

I would go LG, they do full HD models at 32" - I have one from 2018 and it's been pretty decent, still gets updates and new apps (unlike an older Samsung which quickly started to lose apps)
