Choosing an upgrade from a P20 Pro

Hi all,

There seem to be a fair few of us on here that are hanging on to a slowly dying Huawei P20 Pro and wondering what to upgrade to. I've seen a few comments so thought it was worth opening up for discussion, for people with actual phone knowledge to advise on etc.

My P20 Pro's battery life is starting to fade, and the charge port is a bit loose and unreliable. It's also showing its lack of speed with apps like Google Maps and is a bit sluggish with general use.

The camera is amazing and I'd like a camera that is in a similar ballpark. Apart from that, there isn't much that is important to me specific to the P20.

As for budget, realistically I'd want to spend £400 or less, though if that's not feasible then let me know.

If anyone has any advice or recommendations, I'd be really grateful. Thanks everyone!

For that budget, and with the P20 Pro as the benchmark, you may want to consider a refurbished S21 Ultra.

Thank you, much appreciated - I will keep an eye out for another deal to come up

I managed to switch from mate 20 pro to Motorola edge 40 pro, was like half price at under 500 and great phone, pixel pro is also good choice

I'm in the same boat. Got my p20 pro in a deal from EE for peanuts, so everything the same price/cost feels like a step down. And all the phones with comparable features are really expensive and massive. I want something that fits in my pocket
