LAWRENCE OF ARABIA50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION Winner of 7 Academy Awards® including Best Picture of 1962.

LAWRENCE OF ARABIA stands as one of the most timeless and essential motion picture masterpieces.

The greatest achievement of its legendary, Oscar®-winning director, David Lean (1962, Lawrence of Arabia: 1957 the Bridge on the River Kwai), the film stars Peter O’Toole — in his career-making performance — as T.E. Lawrence, the audacious World War I British army officer who heroically united rival Arab desert tribes and led them to war against the mighty Turkish Empire.

Newly restored and re-mastered at 4K resolution, the massive scope and epic action of the Director’s Cut of LAWRENCE OF ARABIA can now be experienced like never before in this landmark 50th Anniversary Edition.

Glad they're reissuing this, missed it the first time round. Has Dolby Vision and Atmos by the look of it! (edited)

    I paid £45 a few months ago

One of the best looking and sounding movies in 4K and the steelbook is lovely too.

This is the best 4K transfer of a film that I've ever seen.

Ugh, spent £48 chasing an existing copy of this. What a waste of time had I known it was coming out again. Bargain at this price.

I’m realising more and more that there is no such thing as limited edition from some of the main retailers. A lot of stuff recently touted as Limited has been re-released with a matter of months and the title Limited Edition omitted from the sales blurb. So now I’ve stopped rushing out and buying in fear of losing out. Zavvi are the worse for it. They have been rereleasing “limited” editions much cheaper than the first time round.

the Big Lebowski was recently released as. Limited Edition pack, it eventually sold out only to be rereleased in the same boxset but again Limited Edition omitted from the title.

Trying to find 3 hours free in the day is difficult though. I started the movie and it was very good, love the soundtrack. Will need to finish watching it hopefully.

I can still add it to the cart?

Great spot OP, one of my favourite films of all time. Can't wait!

I feel your pain Currently trying to find the box set of the four 4K Hellraiser films at a sensible price. More fool me for even looking! I think I'll just wait for them to be re-released individually, which I suspect Arrow will do. (edited)

    Fantastic back in circulation 🔥.
Two questions,is this a significant upgrade on the Blu-ray which looks great? And second question anyone out there have a release date as seems a bit of a mystery at present time .
    zippy99's avatar
Amazon had a release date yesterday for it and Bram Stoker's Dracula steelbook, both same day sometime middle of Feb.

    (Copied from original order email)

    Arriving:
    Saturday, February 17

    Your delivery option:
    Premium Delivery

Then nine hours later I had emails saying the orders due dates had changed to an unknown "we'll let you know" date. I think they broke the news early by accident. (edited)

Thanks for the deal. I imagine it will sell out very quickly again. Heat added.

I wasn't prepared to pay the extortionate prices for this up to now, much as I love the film.

I missed the chance to get the Columbia boxset with this in it. No way was I paying the scalpers for it. It was £2.99 on Apple TV+ so I bought and watched it there. Still looked pretty stunning. I’ll wait for the full fat 4K Blu-ray to be a reasonable price, i.e. less than a tenner, before I get it. Don’t know what the price is on Apple TV+ now because I own it and it won’t tell me. Might be worth a look for others.

So incredibly limited this steelbook was first out June 2022 🤷‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

this must be a reprinted run of this steelbook edition

Is a release date known? Also, do HMV take money upfront or once the product is in stock ready to dispatch?
    zippy99's avatar
    Upfront with HMV.

Then if they can't fill it you get emails once a week saying "we're doing our best", "when [we find one] we'll send it to you but if you want use this cancellation order form to get a refund."
