Can anyone give advice? I'm after a new garmin primarily for golf. I also like the idea of getting notifications of calls or texts in case my boss needs me. Can anyone recommend something?

£374 for the Epix is a bargain. Great for golf and a bazillion other sports.

Lots of other ways to get Garmin discounts. Student, Vitality, Perksatwork etc. I often find the best deals are just via other retailers though.

Fancy the new 540 solar at some point this year. Don’t see it dropping anytime soon. A,so my Fenix 5 is shot

Yeah that's a good bit of kit, sadly I've lost my nerve with cycling after a serious accident/surgery, miss it soooo much

its worth noting that you can often got better deals on sales than full price from Garmin /with/ the /up too/ 40% discount... I certainly couldnt find a good deal on a fenix via bluelight card a while back when looking...

I have had a BLC for a few years and it has always been "up to 40% off" Garmin, at least 3 years. Some discounts good, others not so great. I often found cheaper deals elsewhere on the web.

Agreed. I'm amazed that this is getting so much heat. This deal has been going for as long as I can remember. Quite often you can get cheaper elsewhere but you can get the odd deal.

I’m gutted that I haven’t got any of those cards!

You used to be able to get a Totum card if you signed up for some online ‘study’ courses (search HUKD previous posts). 😄

Not a lot by the looks of things if the RRP is £2400

This discount is also available if you’re a member of British Cycling. Generally the discount is worth it on newer models but older models can be had for similar prices elsewhere. They used to do good discounts on new models but have reduced the discount in recent years. I bought an Edge 1030 Plus for 25% off when it first came out.

Which tier of membership do you have to have? How do you activate it on garmin site? Thanks!

Can anyone please check the blc price for Garmin DriveSmart™ 76 MT-S

    garmin.com/en-…-10

    Thank you in advance
    Bonedome123's avatar
Same price, that one is not discounted unfortunately.

Just bought the Forerunner 55 for £117 with the blc code, £20 cheaper than I can find it anywhere else new. I have the forerunner 235, but it's starting to take a few mins picking up the GPS before a run, otherwise I find them great for accuracy.

The problem is Garmin is so overpriced to begin with, with the discount applied just takes prices down to regular retailer prices so not a big saving (edited)

Could anyone please advise the minimum model of Garmin, assume it would be a Forerunner xxx, that you would now need to work with apps such as Garmin, Strava etc

I have a very old model that doesn't even know what an app is, basic adapter for charging and wear a chest strap for heart rate, and thinking of getting something that allows me to easily monitor and upload activity onto an app

Thanks in advance for any info you might be able to offer
