Yeh they've been out for a while. I just wish Tomtom would come out with a satnav/dashcam combo. Their interface is the best on any standalone SatNav in my opinion! You can pick up a Binatone Satnav with built dash cam for around £40-50, I've got one and they aren't bad the money.

we were instructed to drive down a footpath to get to the other side quickly! (shock) we were also told to turn into a street that was no entry and came head on with a car coming towards us in spain! the garmin we have can be really dangerous. but i think they are all like this. we were also told to drive through an estate gate and a private farm to get to the other side! whoever programmed the route on garmin had a cowboy can do attitude (lol)

Yeah I think this is what will stop sales falling for satnavs

The hardware is usually better than Tomtom though

If you use in cities it's not so bad but when your out in the countryside it chooses poor routes compared to Tomtom

Beware, if you decide to send the watch back for whatever reason, getting your money back is a challenge. I bought one of these during a previous deal and decided not to keep it. Sent it back using a signed for service and heard nothing since (3 weeks). The tracking has showed they have received the watch so no issues there. Their main phone line is shut down and no email support is available. It's a good bet that they are running a reduced staff team due to COVID, however they have a duty to comply with the law. So, quick to take your money but not so keen to return it. I've raised this problem with my credit card provider.

Is it possible to switch off Bluetooth on Amazfit bop or this Garmin watch in the post please?

Does it have SpO2?

Amazfit Bip has built in GPS which works very well. It’s also cheaper well worth looking at. I’ve had mine for a good few years now. It’s been excellent on my bike rides and the data from the app is amazing.

Really like it apart from the black hand, always find them difficult to view in dim light.

True dat, I do like that I have a second phone on another contract, to cover all bases, as not all networks have the same coverage :) first world overkill overindulgence excess omg i need to cancel the contract (:I

Ah I see. I had a PAYG sim in my tablet for a bit but it was much cheaper to just get a phone contract with tethering in the end.

It was like 6 quid from Sky, and its used as a second phone anyway (not too much use). For live traffic info.

I've been similar for years but I prefer a tablet, I'll be looking into getting an android headunit with my next banger though. Silly question why did you get a contract seems a bit much for navigation?

Mine turned up on Wednesday despite UPS's website saying it'd be Thursday - can't really complain when something turns up early. ;) Really enjoying my VA and it's not as big as I feared. Looks fine and I have small wrists.

Actually 72 on the hex when I checked it.

Yes. Using an Olympic hex bar for shrugs and have been working on them for a while. Lat raises using 5 kg dumbbells but should go heavier. I lowered them to correct form and raise reps.

Are those Kgs correct? 82 for shrugs and 5 for lat raises.

Thanks both. The battery life is what put me off the 5s Plus when it was £300 at John Lewis. Hadn't seen the 6s Pro as I had filtered for in stock only. It is tempting at that price, I'll hold on for now.

The strap retails at £199 new but I just wanted something different and I hate the aging on the silicone straps - when the anti-dust coating wears off and literally everything sticks to it, plus the coloured ones get dirty. Now I have it, the titanium scratches (especially the bezel) but it looks fine, it's also bio-inert and is comfortable to wear 24/7 plus as it's a bracelet it can pop on/off easier and faster than straps (and being genuine it won't fall off like some of the cheap ones). I had the stainless steel straps before but they are bulky and seemed to be more noticeable from weight and the way your skin reacts. The black DLC coating is not 'diamond-like' though, somehow I scratched the coating on a 6X! CeX just dropped the prices on these the other day as I was keeping watch (excuse the pun). The F6 Pro Ti seems to be the best all-round balance of everything, including the MARQ that I tried - it looks great, but the display is tiny compared to the F6 which makes it look dated and the charger is stupidly different to the Fenix range.

Yes I second that the battery is appalling on the 5s plus. I had my eye on the B and C titanium 6s because the straps alone could be sold for 100+. Decided I wanted it to be black and the titanium is not dark enough for me. Shame as it is lighter and therefore better when running over 10k, for me anyway.

The 5s plus, being nearly two years old now might have been in ownership for a while now so likely to be more blemished. The 6s Pro is 290 on CeX when in stock. I'd hold out for that.

I had a C grade Fenix 6 Pro from them and it just had a scratch on the glass - body, bezel and strap very good but it’s pot luck, only £325 though. I got the vented titanium 6 from CeX eventually which was a huge saving over retail. Warning on the 5S Plus, the battery is appalling even when new. Small body means small battery capacity too, just 4 hours for GPS+music.

I got mine new from the garmin store for £165 last month via a code a saw on here. As for the watch it’s been great. I think for people who do a lot of sports and want to track activities, but want something normal looking on their wrist this is ideal. I like the size of this being like a standard watch. For people who want lots of different apps then probably worth saving for an Apple Watch

I was going to post the fenix 6s Pro at 290 but they're sold out. They had 30 or so a few weeks ago. I think cex are not using all their stock for certain things because of the current situation. I've noticed that some items show a long list of stock but under the add to basket button it might only say 2 in stock.

Heat from me, great piece of kit and not much more in terms of cost than a vivoactive 3 music, whereas this is more compact and has a few more handy features. The not syncing without Internet shouldn't put you off, it's not like the Internet is a rare commodity. I do trust cex grade B. 90% of the time they are perfect no box and the other 10% I send back with no hassle. Though bear in mind the current situation.

Good battery life (at least 3 or 4 days) but doesn't syc with your phone when there's no Internet (which seems rather crazy) Pulse Ox might be useful at the present time. How bright is the display in broad daylight? Would I trust CEX with a grade B? £219 from John Lewis new under £200 from others

Does the F5+ have the ability to record power output from a turbo trainer? I have a FR245M but it can only record speed and cadence from my Tacx Vortex, ideally I want to work with and record power. Also which of the Edge devices would do this? Not that I want to spend anymore money on my indoor setup ;(

So went for this as using my fenix 5 was a bit of annoying unit is superb works well connected straight away to my heart rate monitor £99 was a great deal, unit is very small but due to this works better on my bike set up :)

The QVC tip from @jimrich above looks good, in stock and £5 off for new customers.

No, it's optional, but fortunately entirely legal according to the rules of the road. Are you going to mention road tax next? Oh please, go on. It'll cheer us all up!

Turn by turn is actually something quite specific. My old Edge 1000 would happily let me follow a GPX course that I have created. It would overlay on the map and show me where I should go, as well as planned elevation and would beep if it went of course. It was fine (and still is) for off-road riding, but it's surprisingly easy to miss turns at speed on the road bike. You can use cuesheets (waypoints), but they need to be pre-generated and, in my experience, are unreliable. The newer devices (I now have an Edge 830) support calculated turn-by-turn. When you first load the course onto the device, it map-matches it to the device's own map and works out at which junctions you need to make a turn. It will then interrupt you (even if you're not on the map screen) and let you know when you need to make a turn, with quite specific data including distance to junction and road names. If you're on a straight road, you can leave it sat on a data screen instead so it's less distracting. For road navigation, it's hugely superior!
