About this deal

2020 M1 Air reduced on Amazon.
I know it’s a lot for a 3yo laptop, but it’s a price drop for a new one of these if you were looking

Thanks! Knew it was a risky one given the rrp on these haha but thought it was a drop worth sharing nonetheless

Meh, thanks for posting but i think its best to just get an M2 macbook air at thisp oint. A lot of people are selling like new ones for less than £800 on eBay at the moment due to all these promotions and with that 10% discount floating around u can get them for just under £700 if ur lucky.

I'd still say this laptop is great for fast lite usage, the M1 will hang in there for a long while when it comes to performance, it's the ram that'll hurt it in the long run.

I've had mine for a year now and I don't use it daily but when I do need to use it it's handling everything I throw at it even code compiling.

    Hi Guys

A few questions if you don't mind:

    1. How long are you expecting to be receiving OS updates on Macbook Air M1 13"?
    2. How long security updates?
    3. What happens when you do not get these updates anymore? Will having an antivirus be enough?
Will this laptop be a security risk to use after OS and security updates end?

    Thanks

I can’t speak about an M1 but I have a 2015 MacBook Pro. Whilst it’s been a few years since it stopped receiving the latest OS upgrades it still gets updates for the OS that it’s currently running. I’ve no security concerns with it.
