Dual core processor and vivobook poor plastic quality... even 20gb of ram cant make it right!

Bit of an odd RAM pairing no? 4gb + 16gb
    dkj255's avatar
That's exactly what it'll be as I have the very similar X415 which has 4GB RAM soldered to the board and a single memory slot for upgrade, which here will have a 16GB stick in it.

Blimey, this seems a right bargain. What's the catch...? Hot.

You think dual core processor is good deal

"Was £599" Like anyone sane was ever going to pay £600 for a pentium gold

Was my first thought. Dual core Tiger Lake? Those N100 mini-PCs are a better deal and more powerful.

They stuck a 16gb ram because 4gb won't sell? Or comes like this with that cpu

"Mesh Computers", never heard of that before

Mesh Computers have been going since 1987. My Dad bought a PC from them for his business in the 90s. Anyone remember Simply Computers? Also bought a PC from them in the 90s. Bought by Misco

Looks like a custom build machine as it's very unlikely the manufacturer would sell it in that configuration probably done to shift some stock.

Very likely. If this is just a shop-upgraded X415 like I suspect, it would have originally had 4GB soldered to the board and a replaceable 128GB SSD with Windows 10. I bought three of them a few years back when they were around £349 each.

You only need to look on this site presently and also at the recently expired Asus deals and you can obviously do alot better with £300 brand new than this lemon ....and get some change .

Thats new delivered before even considering a cheaper 14" refurb which is another option (edited)

I worked for them in 2001.

Dan were the main competitors as they were so close by. Gateway, Viglen, Dell were other brands at the time.

Time Computers were the worst but merged with a tiny in 1999
