£8 on Amazon amazon.co.uk/dp/…KXY by the way the two usb sockets are also controllable too, but not each one individually

incidently the same firm also does a similarly cheap as chips dual socket wifi controlled socket with usb also amazon.co.uk/Tim…49/ tho I've not got 1 myself so can't comment on how good it is,but if its anything as good as the power strip I hope it is.!? (edited)

I didn’t notice that, although looking at their feedback, it wouldn’t be allowed to be posted on here.  (edited)

I been using this extension and 3way smart socket since Christmas time. I connected using smart life app as I also hate using so many apps. Then I connected to Alexa . Xmas lights were on timer and worked perfectly. It took a while to get connected on app mainly because it uses 2.4ghz Wi-Fi. So you have to change this in your router settings unless the device (mobile phone/tablet) should be on 2.5ghz Wi-Fi / ssid. Once this done things are smoother. All plugs and the USB are individually controllable.

last month I got 1 more pair of both. I spoke to Timeguard and they honour 3yr warranty even if we buy from Amazon or eBay. Timeguard website have many electric/electrical devices for sale and pretty established in uk. Smart one thy recently only started I guess.

I bought my units from Lamppost Canterbury store. They were selling even cheaper from store. Both items I paid only £9.60. Even if you don’t use the smart function it’s still cheap for a good extension.

the sales guy said lamppost bought a lot of these in bulk from Timeguard and hence they can sell it for cheap.

Built quality is really good not like the one you buy from temp or Ali express. Only negative I have is the LED lights on each plug will lit up and cannot turn it off. I improvise with some blue tag on each lights.

    otherwise 💯 recommend. Heat!!! (edited)

Why every single smart power strip manufacturer has to come up with their own app?

    Great price though, voted hot.

I'm impressed by this company and their prices.
I've had no issues whatsoever with the Time guard bulbs for a tenner.

    nope

You can theoretically get these to work with Home Assistant via the Tuya local integration but it's a real PITA to set up. (edited)

Relatively easy to load Tasmota on to them and they then easily integrate with HA.

** Fine soldering and a cheap USB dongle required

No surge protection, is worth spending more to get one that has surge protection?

Depends what you're using it for? If it's sensitive equipment then maybe yes.
If it's for a TV, lights or similar then probably no.

I'm using one of these for my sim racing rig, with Alexa.
The ability to switch the sockets individually is great, and so far it's been faultless and more reliable than the Tapo smart bulb in the same routine.
