I mean you only really get that joke if your a fan of next gen, but funny all the same.

I always wondered why the computer needed any levels of diagnostic, when surely it would be so intelligent that it would monitor and alert live and self fix, rather than require measly humans to request a diagnosis. But I'm glad AI didn't take over that much even in this future, so basically AI - we have nothing to fear, after all - it's only artificial.

Just a note that the first film (Star Trek: The Motion Picture) isn’t the extended directors cut, it’s the standard theatrical edition in 4k. You still need to buy the extended edition separately, if you care about such things. I asked this question the last time the box set was on offer. It’s a shame they don’t bundle it in with this box set, … but I think they did a lot of work on it so it’s perhaps understandable that they don’t give it away free.

However if they have now included it please can someone let us know?

It’s included but not in 4k Dolby Vision & Atmos. Still need to buy that separately (£7.99).

Isn’t this 9 films, the voyage home is listed twice, I mean it is well worth watching twice as I love the one with the wales.

After seeing your message, I looked at the description. My OCD kicked in, here's the list in the correct order with the missing film..

    Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
    Star Trek VII: Generations
    Star Trek VIII: First Contact
    Star Trek IX: Insurrection
    Star Trek X Nemesis

Yeah, you can now ALL the Star Trek films for less than the cost of a single Star Wars film!

I guess that’s thanks to Disney keeping the prices permanently at maximum on the property. Before they bought the franchise from Lucas you would sometimes see the Star Wars films reduced to £4.99 each on the iTunes Store. Seems that those days are long gone!

Check out 4k77, 4k80 and 4k83. You'll find them on the high seas!

Not all appear to be 4k ... plus available if you have Paramount

Sometimes deals on the Apple store that are included in Paramount will sometimes say just HD until you click buy or buy the actual thing, then it'll show in 4K. Apple store is really iffy at times with displaying 4K stuff at times somehow. Just going by what was displayed on cheap charts. (edited)

I'm very tempted, but the films are generally poor compared to the series, especially the TNG films.
    Barst's avatar
I'd argue that they're still better than a lot of the crap SciFi that's released nowadays.

That’s an insane price. I paid £10 for just the originals

This is simply another example of Apple being brilliant at getting people locked into their Eco System.

Why is IV: The Voyage Home included twice?

I added the movies after making the deal and must have accidentally put it twice. My fault.

is this for computers or Apple TV on a Sony Bravia tv with the apple + app
    marc1982's avatar
You can get apple app now on amazon firestick, Roku, & chromecast tv now but not Sky q, a few TV’s, as well as consoles. So you can watch if you own any of those now. Unless the streaming app doesn’t have the plus sign after it like Sky q doesn’t then u can only watch Apple made films & programs.

sorry I made a mistake earlier if it has plus I think you cannot access your films purchased through apple, if it just says apple you can. (edited)

Can you even search for a box set on Google tv?
  27. JGiles's avatar
Can’t really argue for at just over £1 per film especially when most in 4k Dolby

  28. gary1968's avatar
Are they all definitely 4k? Click on a few and some show HD only
    Banvard's avatar
Yeah, I thought First Contact was upgraded to 4K last year but shows HD only.

do these have the extra cuts ? and special itunes extras . I'm about to pull the phaser trigger (edited)
    Tyler_Murdie's avatar
Yes, I just loaded Star Trek: Generations just to see the quality and there's a tab/button giving me access to extra's to the film such as commentary and special features.
  32. pablo1888's avatar
Great price. I already have Nemesis. Got it last year at a low price but will see if itunes will still let me buy the bundle.
  33. smallmooseltd's avatar
The DVD and Blu-Ray editions of this collection come with 2 bonus discs containing the Star Trek Summit, and several featurettes. Are these also part of the boxset on iTunes or have they been removed? (it doesn't give enough info on the iTunes page). (edited)

This would have got so much more heat using keyword ‘itunes’ I had to search Star Trek to find the deal. as someone mentioned it on another thread.

Purchased, got a few days off next week so sorted (edited)

I did have iTunes in the title for it originally since I used to post more iTunes deals before, but noticed the title of my deal must have got changed by a mod. Sorry about that.
