As you are ordering at a distance make sure you fully inspect when unpacking as there are plenty in the Masterbuilt FB groups, which have turned up in perfect packaging but bent or dented cabinets/legs/ firebox.
Also nobody mentions how quickly these go through fuel (especially when compared to say a Kamado)
Do I regret buying one.. No..I love ours and I've learnt a lot by using it. However, a year on with rust starting to show through the outside of the cabinet, having had to swap out the top switch (it's a thing best to get some spare switches in advance), with the metal panels inside the firebox rusted through and showing the firebricks (a cording to Masterbuilt it's designed like this and the metal panels are just there for shipping 🤦🤦🤦) and with further paint flaking (some was already flaking on delivery!) I try my very hardest not to think about how much I paid for it.
Oh and if you do buy one, check out Pro Smoke in Banbury for their stainless steel manifold and drip pain brackets (thank me later) (edited)
When time comes, here are stainless steel upgrades from LSS US. Just thinking about how much I'm saving by using supermarket charcoal in comparison with pellets or biscuit smokers. You know, those guys cost £2 per hour of run. This one costs pennies (edited)
Amazing price too since most had been charging nigh on 1k for this over the last year n a half
Also very interested in the long smoking process is that as easy just setting it and letting it go?
