About this deal

Simply drop and mow. The convenience of a robot mower without the need for a boundary wire, outdoor power socket or app. Designed especially for UK gardens with lawns up to 100m2. Combines a camera and sensors with recognition software to identify grass and navigate around your lawn. To be used once or twice a week in the daytime in dry weather. A clearly defined edge around the full perimeter of your lawn is required to prevent the mower leaving the grass. Adjustment of the lawn edges may be required. Supplied with an MX 24V 4.0Ah lithium-ion battery and fast charger, the mower is ready to drop and go straight out of the box. Part of the MX 24V Shared Battery System. Model Number VBRM16-01

I have this and best purchase ever. Use it twice a week in the summer. Put it out on a weekday in the morning when kids at school and just leave it. Then bring it in later and charge battery. Repeat 3 days later. At weekend, don’t need to cut lawn and kids can play without mower going.

Anyone know of something similar for a bigger garden?
    anthony7526's avatar
If you buy the one with strimmer included, this comes with 2x 24 volt 4 ah batteries. Just swop battery over after several hours and it will cut 200m2

So it's for gardens so tiny that you may as well just use a manual (non-Motorised) lawnmower on it.
    Jijin2's avatar
    I wouldn't call a 10x10m garden tiny
  4. Ash_Hayes's avatar
Very good piece of kit, better value for money getting the strimmer included though

Not if you already have a strimmer but yes great tool indeed!

    Is it loud?
Am I correct that you need to use it everday or ever another day, otherwise the clipping will become too big?

Gone for the combo set! Funnily enough I paid £324.00 exactly for the gardner last summer - who did the minimum possible for the maximum amount. ROI is therefore 1.02 Years!

Set to 50mm and left it running earlier, ended up like this - any ideas please?

btw, strong recommendation to not set it off when it’s starting to get dark if you have any drops in your garden…

Might be worth doing a pre cut with a normal mower as grass looks quite tall
  11. Supersaint06's avatar
Very interested in this. Our lawn is in a bit of a state with weeds. Also dips down quite a bit at the end.
Anyone any experience if this will still work well?
    parabootz's avatar
Sounds pretty similar to mine, works ok for me, did occasionally identify a weed as a plant and so didn't go over it, if that happens strim the weeds so they are lower and it should be ok then, my grass is the healthiest it's ever been now, most weeds have gone and a lot of the moss slowly being replaced by grass

For those asking for steep parts, it will struggle. It is powerful enough, but if too steep the front will lift up and can't go forward. It will also dig the wheels in the ground. Maybe on a perfect perfect lawn without visible ground it may work? I believe the website say it can deal with 30° inclination.
  13. DeanPrince's avatar
If you don't have any bricks etc, does it stop itself from going on the patio or concrete paths?
    piratak's avatar
It will stop as soon as it can't see any grass with the front camera

Any one have any experience for using this on long grass (e.g first cut of the year) and also how well it works in damp/slightly muddy conditions?
    Firstname.Lastname's avatar
Just got mine and it struggles with the long wet grass......it just keeps on getting stuck!!!.....I am going to do the first cut with the petrol mower and then daily the robot.......
  17. ozstriker3's avatar
Worth noting that Cleva offer 15% off for blue light card holders and so the mower and trimmer has cost me £314.49

How do you redeem this, couldn't see an obvious option to utilise it on the site itself, sorry if I'm missing something really obvious

52446820-CviaR.jpgWill it cut this lawn easily enough? I cant help think its going to run onto the patio, never to return to grass again

Wondering whether there's a small Keter style box (just big enough for the mower itself) to be able to store it outside too. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Can someone with this advise how often you have to change the blades? I'm reading about other robot lawnmowers where you have to change the blades very 3/4 weeks which would quickly add up the cost.

1st I’ve heard of this but it does come with a spare set! I suppose it depends on how often it’s used

I’m interested in this but I have a section of real grass bordering into a section of artificial grass. It’s separated by a 10cm section of pebbles. The other sides are raised bed sleepers so no issue there.

Would this recognise the fake grass and 10cm pebble border?
    IbbyS's avatar
    Yes

Mine arrived yesterday no battery spare blades or safety key in the box. Good contact so far with the company regarding replacement so hopefully it will carry on.

Lift up the flap on mower where battery goes is ur key not there?
  37. blizeH's avatar
We sometimes have cat poo on the lawn (part of the reason for getting this would be the hope that keeping it trim would help)
    - am I right that this would just plow right through it?

What happens if you put this down on grass that hasn’t been mowed since last year? Stupidly long - would you need a proper mower to go over it first or will this fella sort it all out after a few gos at it?
    daddybr00's avatar
I am going to have a try at this myself this week, though I wouldn’t say it’s stupidly long but hopefully still mulches up good
