Picked up one of these today. Looks much better than the aluminium 6 cup moka pots and seems well built to last a long time. But it holds about 50ml less water. It heats up much quicker than the Bialetti due to having a wider, more shallow base that captures the flame better. It doesn't seem to make the coffee as strong as the aluminium pot i have and it also seems to leave a bit of water in the lower reservoir.
So, looks good, brews fast, but doesn't make quite as good (or as much) coffee as a 6 cup Bialetti or the 6 cup aluminium copies.

I was reading a thread earlier on about the difference between Stainless Steel vs Aluminium Moka pots, and someone else was saying the coffee made with the Aluminium one tasted better. Strange. I guess there must be some technical reason why Moka pots are usually made of aluminium, but I don't know what.

I'd guess that the entire pot absorbs heat more quickly, including the part containing the ground coffee, so perhaps that has something to do with it. Got this factoid from an aluminium industrial website:

"While steel has higher heat resistance, aluminium conducts heat better. In fact, aluminium dissipates heat up to 15 times faster than stainless steel."

I bought this and can confirm it works on my induction hob. The manual does not include induction hobs on its description

This appears to be filter coffee not expresso which needs pressure as far as I know

It's a moka pot, which uses pressure to force the boiling water upwards, through the coffee. I've heard them being called espresso makers, but I believe that purists disagree with this.

Is this good for Turkish coffee

no. you want an Ibric for that style of coffee.

    Lovely..

This looks pretty small. 250ml is about one mug full but if you don't like you coffee too strong you could split it between 2 mugs and top up with hot water

    Is this a stove top?

Good deal but Bialetti is king.

The question is, does it brew coffee 3x better than this ? It certainly costs at least 3x times as much.

2 or 4 cups, does it mean they give 2 different size filters. Thanks

Probably not, I think 2 coffee cups = 4 espresso cups

Tempted to get one to replace my traditional aluminium Moka pot, which I've been using for years. Sometimes you hear of "health risks" of using aluminium in cooking, but to the best of my knowledge there is no evidence of any problem with aluminium coffee pots...but still, you never know!

    Doesn't say if induction compatible.

This isn’t an espresso maker, it’s a Moka pot. It’s a great way to make a decent coffee without a big espresso machine. I would recommend a grinder to go with it if you want to make the best of it, pre ground coffee quickly loses its flavour once opened

Good that it's stainless steel, should be fine on an induction hob

Fingers crossed it works, I want one to add to the rest of my coffee paraphernalia

I've been using a Bialetti copy 6 cup for about 15 years. I'm interested to see if there's much difference in the use and the coffee flavour with this, so i'll buy one.
I certainly think the stainless steel looks better.

A uk pint is 568ml so 250ml must be around a cup or mug size .
So a Bialetti 6 cup might be bigger ??? and more cost of course (edited)

I got this to try and simply used filter coffee. Wasn't expecting much results wise but it is built very nicely and is stainless steel so should last.

The pressure forces through the coffee and it's quite impressive. It produces a lovely cup of coffee very quickly and was very pleasantly surprised.

    Result.
