About this deal

The Bahia Principe Grand Coba is a great choice for a family holiday to Mexico’s Riviera Maya.

Two big pools, a kids’ club and waterslides for little ones mean this place has plenty going for it on the family-friendly front. What’s more, the 24-hour snack bar will keep hungry tummies at bay.

When it comes to mealtimes, you’ve got a buffet and six à la cartes. Plus, you can use three of the à la carte restaurants at a neighbouring hotel for even more choice. Location-wise, there’s a sandy beach a 10-minute shuttle bus ride away. And, for daytrips, a 40-minute drive gets you to Playa del Carmen.

Weddings are available here – visit our weddings page to find out more.

This hotel is part of the Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts group - one of our handpicked TUI selected partners.

Just so you know, access to the sister hotel is for the restaurants only.

It's 4 star. Decent family resort. Was there last summer. Decent price too.

Pay extra and go the Akumal imo... Didn't rate this hotel at all

Your advertising a TUI deal and they have it as 4* therefore you should amend the title. Not the best hotel either especially compared to the other Bahia hotels in the area.

officially its 5 star , Tui is their own rating system so not comparable only within tui holidays

It’s good price but it the „cheapest” out of all Bahia hotels there. It’s 1 km from the beach and if you’re unlucky you’d need to walk 500-600 meters from your room to the main restaurant. There’s no great beach there as well and hotel itself is in the middle of nowhere. However for this price I’d consider it.

    I will not consider it
no beach no vacation for me

You pass the pond to go to a hotel 46 km to the nearest beach?

I am only 20 miles away from Margate.

We stayed at Tulum a few years ago which is one of the 4 resorts on the complex. Was directly on the beach but we don’t ever go to the beach just use the pools. Was great hotel. We have booked to go Coba in July had £250 off plus bluelight discount of £100. Great resort loads to do and buggies are everywhere to take you to and from different complex. Only difference now is that each hotel in the complex has own part of the beach should you wish to use. You can make reservations at Tulum for meals in restaurants but if you want to use other facilities at other resorts it’s $300MXN a day so £13 ish a day to upgrade wristband.

don’t go to the beach but use the pools? ah i see, you prefer swimming around in pee filled toxic swimming pools instead of crystal clear water because of jaws..

Not a bad hotel. As others have said it’s far from the beach and your room might be quite a distance from the main restaurant, but golf cars within the hotel are frequent, so might not be a big deal.

I stayed at Tulum August ‘23. Guy I sat next to on the plane stayed at Coba and hated it. They ended up getting £1000 back on their holiday because of how bad it was. I would absolutely book Tulum again or Akumal at a good price, can’t go Sian Kaan as I have an under 18 but I definitely wouldn’t book Coba based on what I was told.

We were there in July and thought it was great. We paid the same price they were looking for an AI 4* holiday to Turkey/Spain so it was a no brainer. Everyone we met there enjoyed it too.
