Got one of these last time they popped up on here, still yet to use it but it looks good and feels like a quality mic

I've been using one for work calls, combined with an Ikea boom arm - its very good

    (works well with ikea.com/gb/…97/) (edited)

I was shocked at the accuracy and quality of this, it hears absolutely everything. Amazing value at this price.

I have an issue with the actual microphone on my laptop, where the sound is distorted. Would this work as an alternative to the laptop mic?

Why are we all so concerned about having the absolutely best recording of our voices?

Unless you are earning from the time you spend making stuff up to post online, then why bother? That means you should be getting back from YouTube etc at least the minimum wage. Or seeing your newly posted videos/recordings going uphill rather quickly, in terms of earnings.

When I see all these new, random videos from the nobodies, but using expensive tech, I'm minded of the days when I used to watch business angels ask "what will you use our money for?" and the answers came back many and varied but translated into "buy a new beemer 'cos now I see myself as a businessman".

It's decent. I use it with MS word dictation feature to avoid manual typing.

My only problem with these, is the constant buzzing! Boom boom

Bought one of these last time someone mentioned it on here, can confirm it's the best microphone I've ever had and for only a tenner you'd be a fool not to buy it. It was being sold for nearly £100 when the product first launched.

Have this. Great mic and unreal value for a tenner

Reviews have it mediocre at launch last year, as it was priced at £100 and no better than the £50 competitors.

This microphone is great, but comparing it to the £100 range of microphones is ridiculous.

Regardless, I hope this doesn't dissuade you if you're looking for a cheap microphone. This is great to have to replace your headset or we camera microphone and has a shock mount that most microphones in the £40 don't even have.

Would this be viable for just discord when I’m gaming? Or would it pick up much background noise?
Currently use proper headphones that don’t have a mic. So I use a mid mic but not a massive fan
