The MSI Claw will rip AAA titles to shreds, right in the palm of your hand. The Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 Processor inside is packed with 14 cores and AI accelerations – the perfect combo of power and efficiency. And thanks to Intel® Arc™ Graphics, it can pump out plenty of FPS. The 7" Full HD touchscreen will make sure the games are full of detail and colour. And action scenes will be gloriously smooth thanks to the 120 Hz refresh rate. It's kitted out with hall effect joysticks and triggers that are more responsive and durable than typical analogue controls. That means you can target your enemies with terrifying precision. And thanks to the ergonomic design, your hands won't get tired as you claw your way to victory.

Good to know

- The Cooler Boost HyperFlow's got plenty of airflow to keep the powerful components in check
- Intel® XeSS uses AI-enhanced upscaling to make supported games look better and run faster
- It's fuelled by a massive 53 Whr battery that won't force you to cut your match short
- There's all the controls you're used to - D-Pad, bumpers, macros, ABXY and more
- Hook it up to the big screen or a super-fast SSD – the Thunderbolt 4 port can handle it all
- There are dual 2 W speakers with Hi-Res Audio certification, so you don't even need a headset
- With support for WiFi 7 you'll have the connectivity you need to dominate online games
- Customise the joysticks and ABXY buttons or sync them with your game using Mystic Light RGB
- All your settings, macros and RGB profiles are easy to control in the MSI Center M
- The fingerprint scanner in the power button will prevent noobs from ruining your progress
- There's 512 GB of built-in storage, but you can also pop in a microSD Card with your favourite games
- Done with gaming? Switch to desktop mode and you've got a handheld Windows PC

Reviews suggest performance is worse than Legion Go and Rog Ally. Hold until msi provide updates.

I think MSI will be relying on Intel for updates and Intel don’t have a good track record for driver updates

These aren't devices that anybody is actually expected to buy (not until they are heavily reduced).

The only reason they exist is because Intel was desperate to get a presence in this market and, presumably, chucked MSI a large bundle of cash to make and release these.

They were never going to be competitive with the AMD based devices. I'm sure Intel will get there eventually, but it ain't this generation.

    This is correct

Avoid. Reviews are coming out, this performs much worse than the Ally. Which can be had cheaper than this. Even the Core 7 is worse than the Ally (edited)

Yeah, watched Retro Game Corps earlier on and he said that the battery life is potentially quite poor.

Needing 35-50 total watts to game with performance under the deck is rather awful, intel have a long way to go with their internal gpu tech, the power draw is way too much.

Another one falls to the "appeal to novelty" crisis.

No matter the performance, you will be paying £200 early adopter surcharge..

Nobody will buy these. They will be clearance soon

    How is this hot?
It will be months before this product is competitive compared to AMD based machines. Not to mention its the most expensive handheld in the market atm.

Will get this off eBay when it drops to under 300. Will make for a decent mini PC with occasional handheld use.

    Get ausus rog ally instead

Is there a market for such toys?
    Alex_H's avatar
Absolutely. The Steam Deck started it all, now everyone is bringing out a device like this. I have a steam deck and it's brilliant being able to play games on the train, when I'm away for work or just on the sofa at home with it plugged into the TV. (edited)

Bad buy.. Intel lacks performance and battery life in this market.
