    SFP kit is getting cheap, shame a pair of modules and 5km of fibre is not.

    Cisco SFP+ 10GBase-SR £5 delivered. Will link at 1Gig.

    Cable monkey will do you 5km of fiber, pre-terminated for £710 delivered.

    Although, I suspect you really only need 10-30 meters. I got amazon.co.uk/dp/…P1D 15m OM3 pre-terminated with LC-LC for £13, but 50m is £20 (edited)

    Keep in mind its not Smart/Managed so no VLAN stuff etc.
    Fine for powering home CCTV etc.

    Draytek 2100 isn't expensive and works seamlessly with their more modern routers for management.
