Are ads a real issue with this device ?
    liam080195's avatar
I have zero ads so I don't understand when people say they have loads of ads? I have the UK version
  2. laughingman's avatar
wish this had a dual sim slot.
    Crossbow's avatar
It does. Most Xiaomi phones, even the low end ones have had them for years.

I've had to return my phone and I've been thinking of this as a replacement. Anyone got one I can ask some questions to?
    Mr_robot0's avatar
I'll do one this weekend and post on Reddit. I will add the link to it here when I've done

How much of a step up from the Poco F2 Pro is this please?

    18 letters and 4 numbers.

I feel like there's going to be a deal on this phone on 10th March on MI.com when they refresh the Spring sale (round 2)....

If only it was snapdragon 😔

If I'm not mistaken, performance falls between a SD 8 Gen 1 & 2 chip, so can't really ask for much better for the price.

Is this a worthwhile upgrade from a OnePlus 10T?
    Crossbow's avatar
It is in a few ways, but probably not worthwhile - specs comparison m.gsmarena.com/com…717

Sorry guys here another is it a worthy upgrade

currently got a MI 10 5G (non lite?)

    Thanks

Much newer/faster chipset - a brighter screen with a higher refresh rate.

On the camera front it is a moderate downgrade.

A big hurdle I found in this phone. You can’t use any other launcher than MIUI and use gesture navigation.
    jay.chettle's avatar
If buy an apple phone can you use another launcher? Just wondered why you'd want to change it?
  13. Raz23's avatar
Xiaomi doing what they do, offering incredible specs for a third the price everyone else would charge. Really shows the other companies up. (edited)
    snappokerman888's avatar
Motorola had some good deals out there lately too
  14. Els1e's avatar
I've enjoyed two years of my Poco F3 ... except the annoyance of them adding ads, inc videos, to system tools in MIUI. Yes, I know there are ways of trying to disable them but they have annoying habit of coming back. It's put me off having another phone with MIUI. (edited)
    Richardhod's avatar
I have never seen these on the X4. But I don't use the native apps nor the wallpapers from xiaomi/ miui / poco

  16. billy.bronco's avatar

Bought this a week ago for £255. Buy from Poco on Aliexpress and pay in USD from Revolut or Starling. Its the EU version so same software but EU plug.
Just dropped by $25. Now £232

    Crossbow's avatar
You'd be very fortunate if you didn't have to pay any VAT on arrival. £255 is for the 12+512Gb version, same as this.
  20. snappokerman888's avatar
which has the best camera? the POCO X6 Pro 5G or Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G?

Thanks for taking your time to share your find to the community  , it looks to me like your first post has gone down a storm
, congratulations on getting your find to 700+ heat too, i can tell you that is normally a tricky achievement to reach

Anyone know what the returns procedure looks like if there was a better offer in the next few days?
  26. thars's avatar
    shows £345 for me now
    johnnystorm's avatar
Yep, and a third party seller.

    *edit* It's back again! (edited)

Works out at roughly £308 if you buy it from Amazon Italy directly (with a fee free bank card)
(I've not idea why the costs go crazy from Amazon Germany and France)

    johnnystorm's avatar
Is that a UK version, as the listing on Amazon UK (says it) is, if that were the case I'd pay the extra for a UK charger. Or at least have a better argument that it should have had one...

Worth upgrading from Samsung s20 plus?
    Crossbow's avatar
If camera quality is important to you, then probably stay away - specs comparison here m.gsmarena.com/com…717

    Upgrade to Poco F3?
    PlezStahp's avatar
Wondering same. Get an itch to upgrade, every now and then. Truth is: F3 is still going strong
  30. adam.yacub's avatar
Looks Nice how does it compare to the recent deal for Honor 90? Ta
  31. AndrewShennan's avatar
Purchased thanks. All reviews out there say this is a midrange phone with killer specs. Not perfect camera but this is not S24 prices by a long way. Brilliant deal.
    piggymou's avatar
You won't be disappointed. Pound for pound, this is a great deal over any Samsung midrange phones.
  32. Ki113r_7's avatar
Been after a (possibly unnecessary) upgrade to Redmi Note 10 Pro for some time now. Felt settled on the Xiaomi 13T/13TPro for a while but this has really piqued my interest because it seems pretty like for like outside of maybe the camera on the 13T being better?
    Icon's avatar
For the extra £30 odd I'd get the 13T - not a lot in it though. (edited)

MTD 8300. Great but not that great.

Kinda like trying to convince yourself that having another beer is a good idea. (edited)

For this price? What phone has a better cpu?

The benchmarks for this phone is unreal for £300.
