Cashback: Many can tell the tale of being stung, the more to comeback the less likely you are to get it. I only advise.
I bet the trade-in will kill the Cashback ( non payable due to another promotion)
Would just do the swap and then put both new sims in the phone until I could port the number back to the network.
Its not so easy now on a Pixel.
Only if the water get inside and fouls the indicators.
I have just check and the 500gb link is showing Charcoal and not in stock until May, i didn't noticed it slipped in an alternative on the refresh.
It's still very good deal compared to sim free at the moment (edited)
