Great machine this, also can be used with unbranded PTE tape and there are loads of styles and colours to use.

Takes 6x AAA batteries

Can take and swap cassettes as required, no need to use a whole tape at once, they can be interchanged and swapped easily, just like a cassette tape.

4313587_1.jpgThis is from my same machine
loads of styles, 3 fonts, and various sizes to use, as well as wrap around cable printing
and symbols to choose from too. (battery symbols, electrical, text, pattern printing etc)

The button bottom left with Envelope on it, is used to select symbols, numbers fractions, cubed symbols etc, mathematics, arrow, brackets, Greek letters, shapes, punctuation, as well as pictograms, such as office symbols, data, network symbols, fun, and smileys, clothing, vehicles, sports. animals, holiday, food / drink, kitchen, garden, DIY and schools to use also on labels.

4313587_1.jpgCan change label width, margin, use electrical symbols, and decorative symbols for printing.

(I've had batteries in this since i got it, still working lol, i don't use it every day, but it is very useful when i need it)

More like it! I wonder what the differences are?

I own this one. I got different colour cartridges from eBay (not branded ones) and they are great. It could be designeable on your phone etc but I cannot complain for the price.

    I bought the modern version, it's not as good at the old ones. The new letter spacing is R I D I C U L U O S ! (edited)

I have this model. I used it to label stuff for my elderly mom. Worth having it at home

I've had this model for years. Does the job well enough. The original Brother tape is better (in terms of the text being sharper) however the cheapo cassettes off ebay are better bet due to this machine wasting so much tape every time you print something out.

I have an ancient one if these that is still going strong using ebay sourced tapes. Mine eats batteries when off though so you have to remember to pull one out to prevent this. Not sure if this is still an issue with newer ones.

Are these any good for labelling kid's clothes (i.e. do they withstand a wash?)?

I've got the Brother PT-H100R from Argos for same price. Haven't opened up yet so could return.
Anybody know key differences as it certainly looks different?

Just imagine if HP made a label printer – the ink cartridges would be an utter nightmare.

Grab a 9V adapter as this supports AC power as well, easier than messing with batteries.

Get unofficial refills off aliexpress etc for a fraction of the price.

I've had my printer for about 5 years, I've got through about 8 tapes and it is still on the original batteries.

I saw it at this price in Ryman also. It used to often be about £20 a few years ago.

If we’re going back years I got mine from Amazon for £17 in August 2019.

Any one know if this can produce the same labels as the PT-E110? shown below.

It appears to be the same unit but the orange one is more geared towards electricians for labeling cables and consumer units etc just curious if this has the same functionality but just not hooked up to shortcuts

would prefer this not being bright orange and actually being cheaper

Chain printing seems to be cutting off the last word like so, anybody more familiar have any idea as to what im doing wrong, first time with one of these things.
