Strange question perhaps but does anyone know if it has the same M.2 slot and antennas that the Spectre X360 has? Because I have a 5G m.2 modem I want to put in there and the modem was from a Spectre X360.
Kinda glad.. Love the look of this and the keyboard layout.. Very tempted, but holding back due to the hinge issues, but still feeling tempted. Not gonna check to see if it hasn't... Lol
Says "E-voucher has expired."
I hate that they still use 250nits brightness in this day and age. Even £800 dell all in one's have 250nit screens and they look awful I've had customer say they bought 13" x360 and their hinge broke just outside warranty. Very bad of HP not to have fixed this issue as they been making them for a while now
Low brightness on this screen - other one has 400 nits and this one 250 nits... something to bear in mind!

Is it touchscreen and backlit with WiFi 6?
I bought this laptop back in 2020/2021. I purchased this directly from HP and have had Hinge Misalignment issues. This is definately a manufactures defect as I've had 4 - 5 replacements sent, all with the same problem. This common problem can be found across the internet, but I cannot confirm if this latest model has been fixed or not. I would personally have a look if this issue is still being raised before consider buying an x360 HP laptop.
yeppp it's not great
250 nits...
This is the AMD version of the 15 inch: https://www.hp.com/gb-en/shop/product.aspx?id=4J954EA&opt=ABU&sel=NTB The i5 is 14% faster in single core but the Ryzen is 40% faster in multicore. Ryzen GPU is faster.

I’m looking for an all-in-one printer as my hp one is driving me nuts. The printer doesn’t print anymore after working fine for years. It’s the software I reckon. Anyway I’m not keen on another HP printer. I’d like one that’s fairly cheap to run and is reliable using wifi. Any suggestions?
If you don't need the scanner maybe consider the Canon PIXMA G5050 also from Argos for £169.99. it has auto duplex too. http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7489631.htm
Can't help think the average price for this has been around £220 and sometimes lower. So you get £70 cashback but the price has gone up by £50. So reasonable value but not a huge bargain... If it does go back to £200 before the cashback ends then I would probably buy one.
The manual duplex function is a pain on this - otherwise I've been pleased with print speed, quality and cost of inks in the year or so I've had mine.
Go the 5170 that replaced an expensive HP and we’ll pleased so far. Check out Printerland and it offer 3 years warranty compared to 1 from HP

Anyone know when the 20% off ends please?
Great spec, build quality and screen Really do wish that more companies would ditch the barrel connector for power and just have a USB C on either side instead
I would have nabbed this if it was 16gb ram.
Had a look at this yesterday in Currys and was really impressed with the build and the cracking OLED display, spec is a bonus too for day to day work and play.

I've read the thread, which of my statements is incorrect? That the DRM is actually in the printer rather than the cartridge? My bad.
Currys were selling the hp envy 5020 2 years ago or so for 30 quid (something like that). At the time I didn't realise that automatic duplex was such a rare feature. Now that I'm looking to purchase an Epson eco tank, the cheapest model that has it is £250. Is it similar to Epson's eco tank? I moved away from hp after their instant ink price hike and all the connection issues I used to have.
Cheers, I cancelled. My brother mono is 10 years old and is solid. It has auto duplex but no WI-FI which is a bummer. Tho is why I’m on the look out for a new laser
That's incorrect, read the thread first Manual duplex?! Can't everything be manual duplex though?
This is a Samsung rebranded laser printer with DRM on the toner cartridges added, you can't use aftermarket cartridges with it. Buy brother laser printer or Lexmark. Do not buy HP anything.

Thanks! Now you've got me looking at the same setup ... Damn HUKD and its helpful community!
I have the ET-3750 which has the same "PrecisionCore Print Head" with same number of nozzles per colour. Both printers are using same type of ink: pigment black and dye colours (102). Because this printers are using pigment black ink the results on any gloss paper will not be very good as it will try to make black using the colour inks. The initial printed photos were not great, colours were different from what was on my calibrated screen. These were printed using the printer colour management. I have made some custom printer profiles (ICC) for different types of photo papers. Using these profiles I had great results for personal use photos.
I think the 27XX (now 28XX) has an even smaller screen than the 48XX. 1.5" vs 2.5".
If this has the same screen size as the one i bought the (ET-2751) then it is TINY. Much smaller then our (then) 10 year old HP AIO it replaced, and when it's showing you which button to press, it's almost impossible to make out the symbol without looking really closely. That said, i have had a lot less problems with it than the temperamental HP, and the ink tank system was great during pandemic/home schooling, when we had to print a lot of stuff out. Still only 25% through the black and maybe 15% through the coloured inks, and we have printed hundreds of pages. I have found photo prints to be acceptable. Not breath-taking, but fine.

You should post it as a deal (:I

DJ8: I've got two, now discontinued. But one is a Brother colour laser, cost £120, the toner that came with it lasted 4 years, replacement toner cost £35. Other is a Dell colour one, cost £100 and replacement toner is £17 - Deals pop up on here sometimes. After a few months of not using one, they will print perfectly without having to clean the heads etc. Will have a look. Won't be printing a lot but little one starting nursery soon you never know (:I I've got this one on awaiting delivery for £49.99: Epson Expression Home XP-2100 Print/Scan/Copy Wi-Fi Printer, Black https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07VV6CPSB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_M85F94KYTAZ2X9WA0WXM The toners seem quite cheap on this

Looking for a printer, could you suggest something please?
You'll save a fortune buying a laser printer. Injets are terrible.
It's a nice workhorse, but it can have issues with the auto feed on the scanner. Sometimes collecting more than one sheet at once, or just taking it around the roller and keeping it there. It might be temperature dependent, as my room temperature is about 13 degrees, and I don't tend to notice the issue in Summer

Meant to add special papers but my fat fingers hit enter.
stethorn 04/03/2022 23:21OK cool, you don't happen to know what it's like prining on special paper such as card and phoor paper do you? Seeing mixed reviews and not sure if its just people's stupidity. Quality is good on paper if you take tour time and use the best print settings, not the best mind you but good to be sure.
Heat added just ordered I liked the sound of this printer thx krjgreen
I was lucky and got the recent ET2810 for £120. It’s a great printer. Quality output at low cost. Recommended
I’ve only used Tesco’s own brand photo paper in mine and the results were very poor. Not sure if that was the printer or the paper though

Seems decent but issue for me issue is it doesn’t have a document feeder which is damn useful for scanning or copying several pages
I refilled the cartridges on my 8022 printer and it doesn’t work that well. Luckily I bought the printer in Costco last year, so I’ll be returning for a full refund as not fit for purpose, Hp expect me to pay £85 for cartridges that barely do over 500 pages can get lost. Especially as my Samsung laser printer over 10k pages in mono for £40 which satisfies 90% of needs. I’ll probably get an ecotank My son dismantled my previous printer an hp 8740, so not that old, as it wasn’t printing properly and I didn’t have time to clean it. Now it prints very well. He also noted that hp deliberately built in obsolesce into the printer as a crucial part in the ink delivery mechanism is a part that’s best described as thick cling film. He replaced it with something he made on his 3d printer. It was this item that had failed. So, a perfectly working 4 years old printer failed because of hp deliberate obsolesce design. Should be made illegal.
I have this and i can't figure out if there is a sleep mode which only activates when i send something to print
I have an old hp business inkjet with a CISS set. My problem is the print heads drying up. It wasn't a problem when I could buy them for a tenner on eBay but they are a lot more expensive now. Do these epsoms have the same issue?
does it comes with FULL SIZE ink bottles or the small ones ?

Hey everyone, I’m struggling to get apple airprint working on this. Anything I need to do following installation using the epson smartpanel app?
2810
Same for me
Gutted a missed this :(
Hi. What model was delivered. Was it the 2810 or 2811. Cheers.

Thanks for your suggestion above, I recently bought TS3350 pixma model and wanted to understand where can we get colour cartridge please - as above comment applicable only for black cartridge ?
Cheaper to buy a laser printer. More money up front but it'll last forever. I bought an office standard HP colour laser printer a few years ago and it's still on the included toner and still prints like a charm. I barely use it to be fair (odd ticket prints etc.). Just checked the black/colours and they're all on 100% except Cyan which is on 90%. If you want to print off photographs on the odd occasion probably easier/cheaper to go to a photo store like Boots/Jessops etc. or use one of the online printing services.
Cheers! I remember having one of those a couple years back (not needing a reset) which is great.
Yes I do, although On this particular printer you don't actually reset the cartridge ( which requires a separate "zapper",) .all I do is press the Button which has a red triangle within a red circle on the printer itself for approximately 10 seconds and it's fine. The only downside is that it no longer tells you how much ink you have left which is why I recommend getting a second cartridge once you're happy with the printer.
Thanks, not to worry - I'll ebay/amazon it ! Incidentally, did you have to reset your cartridges every time they're refilled ?

This printer sucks. I'd avoid. Toners are overpriced, it'll keep jamming in tray 2 and often paper gets stuck in the fuser unit which can only be repaired by an engineer unless you can get it open (which HP have purposely made difficult to do so, check YouTube teardowns)
Just for other people who may be interested in this printer. I know it has expired now but put an alert on for yourself. I did a while back for the colour version which was (HP Colour LaserJet Pro M283fdw Multi-Function Printer (3 Years HP Commercial Warranty), White) and checked on the Ebuyer page (fastest way) and then the HP page to see if there was any deals on for cash back. There was and so I ended up paying £119.99 for this printer. At that price I will just sell it on Facebook market place when the toner is almost empty. Just thought it was worth a mention for anyone wanting a colour device, check out the HP cash back deals.
This is expired anyway
Explain please?
NOT on LaserJet Pro series... you can select cartridge policy on all of them.. There is couple of settings there regarding cartridge policy and you can switch off check if cartridge is genuine and can also set to carry on printing even if printer thinks that cartridge is empty. Usage data can be stored both on cartridge and in the printer. I own M203dw and M402dne, both are on latest firmwares and both use cheap toner cartridges from eBay without slightest issue. There are 10,000 page toners available for this printer that can be purchased from eBay for approx 25 quid (including postage)

Guys, need help. I have one of these hp printer with some ink cartridges, I used the free 6 months and no longer need it. Can I sell it along with the spare ink cartridges on ebay or gumtree? Can others use this as normal printer with the spare ink cartridges? Thanks
Set mine up today and it only took 10 minutes. Only printed a few things off but fingers crossed it seems ok .
I got the printer from argos £39.99 and the compatable inks are around £22- £25 for the 2 cartridges 540xl and 541 xl. This prints 600 black and 400 coloured . the prints are good quality and easy to print from my smartphone, I downloaded the app and the printer installed from my phone . I am not tech savvy so it shows how easy it was, scanning was just as simple and I have not been asked to sign up anywhere. The HP 2600 series printer was nowhere near as good.
Where you getting the replacement ink?
Really useful review if you are considering this printer

Don’t buy premium convertibles then as they are almost all like this. Intel Xe graphics is competitive with integrated Vega for now. The new Ryzens are meant to be faster but will likely cost far more too.
I would not waste my money on any laptop with an Intel CPU these days after switching to AMD Ryzen with the far superior graphics rendering.
Any laptop that solders ram in cold from me this practice needs to stop especially when it gimps the machine
That's what Edge is for. Faster and uses less RAM. And isn't completely spyware by design.
Welcome to the site @seylannaidoo thanks for taking the time to post :)

Super late reply but a fun fact. From what I learned and my own experience the cartridges included with the printer itself are essentially empty on arrival compared to the ones they send you. It even says sneakily on the HP status software that instant ink cartridges contain more ink than regulars. I've also found that the status software is wrong on how it shows remaining ink. About 90% of my printing is done while the cartridge is one bar away from empty. Thought worth sharing the knowledge from about 6 months use.
You know it's going up by 50% this month?
Can pick up a decent mono laser printer for this price
Just so you're all aware I bought this last week and managed to get HP to honour the 12 months instant ink at 1500 pages per month. My belief is that they will do 700 pages per month if you call them, but because I had a series of issues with a HP Employee via the WhatsApp, when I called they honoured 1500 pages (because of the poor service) for 12 months & a free month with my friend code referral. Just had my first delivery of ink and got 2 of each, black and colour. I think I read somewhere that they want you to have two months supply, the cartridges are small and I already ran out of the black starter ink over the weekend.
Yep me too - rarely use the 50 unless selling lots on eBay so planning to switch down to the 10 and should start with 30 rollover hopefully so can use that to manage when need more but will be tight.

Yep, spotted this that hp stop the use of the cartridges, not very environmentally friendly, i looked into rolling back the firmware a while back but didn't explore any further, so perhaps a possible route
I have an office jet 6950. had it for nigh on 2.5 years so far. Yes occasionally the print may come out a bit hazy or missing a bit or there. Then have to do the printhead cleaning using 3 pages to sort it out. i have complained via online support and got the 3 page credit that month. The price has increased- going to £2.99 for 50 pages from £1.99 which I was paying to now. For kids the option of printing when they need it is a godsend and I have spare cartridges as they once sent out 2 lots by mistake. I did read that if I cancel my plan they will make sure those cartridges no longer work. Is there any workround around that which people are aware of by any chance?
OOS sadly
They are great & no problems printing from Android phone or laptop via WiFi.
Ta also to you cheapasnowt

Cool, I'll likely set it up this weekend (y) Thanks
DM'ed you the code which gives you extra one month of Instant ink. Cheers!
I didn't get one sadly but I ordered an HP printer yesterday. Are there codes to get extra months ink available?
Yep thought as much
Yes, it’s corporately reduced to clear. I’d ring customer careline and kick off. it’s been sold. You’ve paid. They have no right to take it back.

These are great on ink. Saved a fortune.
Bought one - posted it here - then they upped the price :-( will expire it
ET-8500, round about the £600 mark.
Looking for one with six ink tanks ideally.

Oh wow they charge now? I’ve been on free 15 pages for a good few years but haven’t printed much recently so not sure if it’s still the case.
They made it if you use hp smart you have to have an account which had worked for age's but recently I wanted to scan documents to my phone and it was unavailable. You shouldn't need a subscription to use the app. I know that there has been a few updates since I last used it and it could have broken features if I was being kind but I think it is more on purpose.
Can be very messy when you begin and such but just refill them. I bought ink and a refill kit and have been refilling my own cartridges for over a year now and have saved £100's in doing so. The ink is cheap but it's just a messy task to do (better of doing it in the bathroom) but once you do it a couple of times you get the hang of it. Also if you do decide to go down this route, don't bin your old non instant ink cartridges as each cartridge has so much it can be refilled basically then the sponge inside or whatever doesn't perform well. So you need more empty cartridges. When the instant ink cartridges stop working you can transfer the ink to a non instant ink cartridge and carry on like that too ;) You won't be able to see ink levels, the printer will tell you it's always time to replace the cartridge even though it's not empty and might say they're not genuine but always carrys on working fine
I had a hp printer similar to this and was working fine for 3 years. Then all of a sudden it stopped working on my laptops but still worked on my PC. I didn’t update or change anything. I tried everything even HPs diagnostic tool but nothing worked. I find the software always is always the weak spot with printers, just don’t understand why manufacturers don’t build proper software for printers.
FREEINK didn't work for me last month but you can get another month if someone gives you a friend referral code but that's against the rules here for some reason. Remember to cancel in a few weeks in advance of the renewal if you don't want to pay.
