    How often in UK are these ever used in a true emergency involving private cars by an occupant or a 3rd party non-emergency responder? Reviewers have not once used theirs, no idea of real-world efficacy. Glove box or loose in door pocket wonder how few might get to it burning or upside down in a river. Head support prong thing I often can't get the darn things out best of times. My car I have Halon gas (among others) for fires & drop down Oxygen masks plus sensor-triggered inflatables. Back in the day no belts with non-laminated glass bliss.

    I'm prepared to do some real world research for you later tonight, there's a couple of neighbourhoods I'm yet to visit
    (hadn't planned on using the belt cutter but seeing as it's you )

    Are you sure your car isn't a plane btw?

    P.S. Door pocket is last place this should be kept, glove box not far behind.
    Ideally it should be attached with hook and loop somewhere central, between driver and passenger is typically a good place as it should hopefully remain accessible to any/all occupants wherever the impact. HTH (edited)
