Had it 3 years now and on my 3rd base which is now acting up and turning itself off before boiling….personally I wouldn’t buy again, shame as we have a few Ninja gadgets which otherwise are pretty good.

Have this about a year, mine has just started doing this too.

We have this kettle and overall like it, it’s fast to boil, especially smaller amounts, can do as little as 250ml (the guide for that is inside.

The temperature selection is handy, and it’s really useful to be able to see what temp the water is in the kettle. Especially for baby bottle making etc.

My slight gripes would be it’s not insulated on the sides so they get very hot and means it drops temp quite quickly.

Feels well made hopefully will last

£79 for a kettle a d all that heat?! Mind blown!
  10. targaid's avatar
At that price I'd expect WiFi control. Stay warm function is just a way to waste money, too.

Anyone know of a metal kettle that has no parts of plastic coming in contact with the boiling water? If it has a volumetric window like this deal, it has plastic coming in contact with the water. A plastic holder for a metal mesh acting as a filter for timescale, also gets in contact with the water. Amazon has some models that are all metal, but work at 110 volts, not 220

    Out of interest, why?

Got this last year and I wouldn’t buy it again. It’s overpriced kettle.
Get one from Asda with the same functions and bigger water capacity for £30.

Not voting my perfect temp is always boiling.

I've got this kettle and I really like it. The only thing i've noticed is that if you make a tea at 90 degrees it makes the tea really foamy - I dont know why it does that. Other than that its perfect.
    hh_cc's avatar
This is almost certainly down to brew temperature and that specific tea. Usually it's foamy when low but 90 is not low.

Should be able to get 10% BLC discount as well.

Good deal - bought my from Argos for £100 - but then the water level back light stopped working after a couple of months so I complained to Ninja and they sent me a replacement no quibbles. So I got mine for free lol. Still using the broken one lol.

Ninja really do know how to capture the imagination of the gullible, they keep on churning out overpriced kitchen appliances with a couples of extra bells and whistles to a standard model, charge 2 or 3 times it's value and the gullible keep buying them in droves
  21. Jamie_M's avatar
Does it play the annoying Ninja tone when it's boiled?
    martynpd's avatar
    Yes it does.
  22. Garble's avatar
