How many times can it charge your laptop before it's dead ?

Anyone do the man maths on how many times need to fully recharge it in the office to make back what paid for it?
    Feverdawg's avatar
Back of a pack calculations at 30p per kwh

    capacity in kWh = = 27 Ah / 1,000 = 0.027 kWh
    Home charging cost = 0.027 kWh × £0.30/kWh = £0.0081

Cost of device / cost per full charge = £42.49 / 0.0081 = 5243 charges to break even (if I've done it right) (edit - think may have to divide that by 3.7 for volts....I think so about 1400 :D) (edited)

Does this one support charging while delivering power?
    bwsoldier's avatar
    Yes it does

What plug are people using to charge the bank? And how long to charge it from 0% to full? (edited)

Off the top of my head, under 2 hours when completely empty, using ugreen GAN charger. It maxes my charger out at 100 watts. TBH though, unless in a hurry, I use slower charge.

Great battery, if size no issue. (edited)

Coming up at £30 for me, is it decent for that money?

Does this correctly charge quest 3, ie 9volts, as page seems to suggest 5v?
    Undergrid's avatar
It does PD 3.1 which specifies up to 100 watts at 9v. See here

Edit: Looking at the back of the unit (in a review someone posted) it looks like this can only supply 3amps at 9 volt, so 27 watts... (edited)

I gave it a go. Bought 100W last week, will do some testing on both and decide which to return. Reading HUKD is really bad for bank account.

    Thanks Op .
Yet another powerbank added to my ever growing collection 😁

This is a beast of a power pack. I really like the way it can tell you how much power is going in/coming out. You just have to enable the detailed display option. It's right at the limit of what an airline will allow (100Wh). It's really nicely built, comes with a protective bag and a charger cable too. Of course it is big and heavy but that's because it has a big heavy battery and some decent electronics. A lot of laptops and tablets top out well below 140W so something with a lower maximum power will save a bit of weight but you can't save the weight of the battery.

The anker 140w was terrible - fingers crossed on this one. Is it allowed on planes?

    Yes, it is allowed

Got the 100W version a month ago for around £28. Good solid product. If you need 140W the £14.50 extra is probably worth paying.

Better looking display on this one too.

Got this last time and it's a great powerbank, I probably only needed the 65w version but it's nice to have the extra if needed. I've got used to the size and weight. (edited)

Quick question mine arrived yesterday, why I put my phone or tablet into the c1 or c2 it's shows as 20ish watts charging only. Both support 45w. Have you seen this on yours at all? Considering if mines faulty
  13. red_me765's avatar
Got mine back in jan, at the same price you can get it now with all the vouchers which drops it down to £42.49.
Great for charging my mobile and tablets and my quest 3.

Was annoyed I missed the 65w version of this but this is better. Hopefully it supports my 100w charging phone. Got it mainly for the steam deck but nice to have the headroom for my next phone and the next steam deck that will highly have higher charging when it comes out in a few years (I hope)

How is anyone getting this price? It’s £70 for me?
    heman's avatar
Yes, price has gone up as expired.
  16. Pring's avatar
Anyone know a good plug and cable to charge this at full speed?
    Yarecco's avatar
I am planning to use my 120W charger from my phone. Should be fair enough.
  17. MildmanneredCalvin's avatar
Not super bad, but with the 35% voucher off, the price with free delivery to the locker is £55.24 for me. So not horrible.
    Thackers's avatar
Don’t forget the 15% voucher aswell
  18. Bbqueue's avatar
How long do these take to fully charge from empty using the fastest charger that will charge it? (edited)
  19. MildmanneredCalvin's avatar
Nice one OP, this offer was too good to pass up
  20. Yarecco's avatar
OK I got it and I tested it.
It charges my laptop with the max power of 65 W.
But all xiaomi phones, no matter with 65W or 120W charging availability are charged with 22,5W max.
