Best time to go to Phuket
The British winter is the best time to visit Phuket. Between November and the end of April it gets gradually warmer in Thailand. In the hottest months, temperatures can soar to 34˚C, but cool breezes tend to keep things comfortable. Rain is a rarity at this time of year, but you can expect 2 or 3 days of light showers every month.
Passports & Visas
British citizens must have a valid passport to visit Thailand. By law, you must carry your passport with you at all times. British passport holders arriving by air may enter Thailand for 30 days without obtaining a visa in advance of arrival. For the most up-to-date passport and visa info, visit gov.uk/for…nts
Holidays to Phuket offer everything from sleepy beaches to wired party resorts. And it's this little-bit-of-everything approach that makes the island one of Thailand's most popular destinations.
Complete package Phuket
There are a lot of threads in Phuket’s tourism tapestry. The island is just off Thailand’s southwest coast and its capital, Phuket Town, is an animated city of early-morning markets and beeping tuk tuks. The shoreline, meanwhile, is home to a league of beaches – 40 kilometres’ worth to be exact. Some of the stretches of sand turn the tempo right down. All 11 kilometres of Mai Khao Beach are protected as part of the Sirinat National Park, so there are hardly any signs of life along its breadth.
Kamala Beach
Kamala Beach is another one that keeps itself to itself. The unspoilt sand here is accompanied by a village with Thai tradition at its heart. This is the place to come to learn local cookery or to experience an authentic Thai massage.
Patong Beach
At the other end of the scale you’ve got Patong Beach. Like all good sandpits, this place was made for playtime – it’s just footsteps away from a directory’s worth of bars and restaurants. After sunset, the main strip is closed to vehicles, and human traffic fills the streets, making U-turns in and out of bars and discos.
Kata and Karon
The middle ground is occupied by Kata and Karon. On these beaches sunloungers are spread out in Goldilocks fashion – there’s just the right amount – and snorkelling is the main watersport on offer. The beach scene is complemented by sand-side promenades, quirky souvenir shops and lively restaurants.

Where to know for markets and what are there specialities ?
I've had 68 baht to the £ in the past. But more like only 45 to the £ these days
Most recently me and my GF went there for a luxury trip over Christmas.
Great street food, night markets and people.
Definitely do a Thai cookery course on one of the first days you are there, to learn loads about the food and culture.
I use the Grab App now for taxis there, if I'm not getting the BTS Skytrain or MRT underground in Bangkok. In Phuket we just walked and used local buses.
The Blue Smart bus from the airport in Phuket is the cheap option at 100 baht.
Do some online research before you go. (edited)
Hottest part of the year as well with temps currently approaching 40c (edited)
My Dubai flights alone is costing me over £800+ which used to be £400-£570
I think long gone are those days where were able to get CHEAP flights unless its a actual deal like this one!
Oh, too late
jewellery, clothes or even investments ?
