    I have an older version and it doesn't get hot. Not that I game or anything on it. It's also pretty silent. But I guess it can be CPU and battery dependant

    Great Laptop deal, very nice spec premium device......but.......I've read the trust pilot reviews and they are bad in terms of support and warranty repairs.......taking weeks on end

    Have the Matebook 14 since 2019 and it’s the best windows laptop I’ve seen. The closest to a Macbook in terms of quality and trackpad. It even had a fingerprint. Battery is not even close but external graphics cards with intel cpu do that. Definitely recommend Huawei laptops.  (edited)

    Yes, that mirrors my experience. I bought the MATEBOOK X PRO back in November 2020 and really can't fault it. Feels as good to use now as it did back then.

    I am normally getting the itch to start researching a new laptop at about this stage in my ownership but this one has been so good that I honestly can't justify it myself, let alone my wife.

    If I had the money, I would upgrade the ram on this and add those dedicated GPU enclosures using thunderbolt. Would make a good gaming machine.

    THis is what i have currently but with a legion go. Looking at in a year or so time picking up a laptop like this then plugging the gpu enclosure to it. Legion Go will last at least another year for most games with the GPU plugged in comfortably.
