    Is there a way you can safely trade or sell your old laptop so people can't access your old data etc?

    Before you carry this out you need to check if bitlocker is off:
    Search control panel in the windows search bar. In Control Panel, select System and Security, and then under BitLocker Drive Encryption, select Manage BitLocker.If BitLocker is turned on, select Turn off BitLocker.
    Now you can wipe your PC:

    Look under the 'reset your pc' option and follow the steps under 'remove everything'. Don't forget to leave 'Data erasure' on.

    Perfect timing. Ordered one, was looking at an Acer with the 5500u but this has the newer 6-core R5 in it. This was cheaper too! Nice spot OP!
