The non chrono model might suit those looking for more AP Royal Oak look on a budget. Also half price. This is the best homage you can get.

It's annoying that the strap mount is not just a bar, I use NATO straps for comfort. Plus allows me to keep the standard strap perfect. In this case it limits the availability of replacements too.

I know some watch snobs look down on the 7750 but I rate it and love mine, the story behind the 7750 is great, as is the ingenuity behind it, plus it's robust which a lot of automatic chronos aren't.

At full price this is not brilliant imho, but at 1733, this is a deal - especially with the day date complication! well done OP (edited)

The 7750 is used by many watch manufactures, even more expensive than this. It’s a tried and tested workhorse. Plus most manufactures will put there own modifications on to the movement too.

This Rotary from another deal looks surprisingly similar- and it's automatic and 100m water resistant too. Could save yourself about £1500!
