sorted byI cant be bothered chopping onions/garlic for my curries and I tend to just lash them in this, ive also made dough for bread and pizza and found it to be extremely useful.
My son cannot have milk so I make pesto in here as well using nutritional yeast and he loves it with his pasta (only a toddler).
Just remember its not a blender, so its not going to make smoothies.
Any good recipes you would recommend that would make good use of this? Genuinely interested.
1) the dough function is bewildering, it doesn't gyrate up and down and it doesn't even go at a slower speed, it literally just whacks your dough at a rapid speed to the point where I'm concerned it'll break the plastic container. It's not even an actual dough hook, it's just a plastic blade.
2) it absolutely does NOT puree. It's not a blender. The puree function is the same as the chop except it goes faster. So you'll end up with tinier chopped bits but you could never puree. Eg you can't make a smooth hummus from it or anything.
I use it for meal prepping by chopping onions or garlic in bulk, making a quick pico de gallo, and making cauliflower rice. Also good for shredding carrots quickly. To be honest I haven't used it for much else, and if I could do it over again I'd have just spent the extra ££ and bought the 3 in 1 with a blender.
