Great deal with voucher.

2 x 5ah Batteries usually around £90

1 x Charger usually £10

1 x case approx £10

Means the drill comes in at roughly £40 - £45.

Free delivery and a reputable company that I have bought from previously.

£179 on their website.

Note these are 5ah batteries NOT the 4ah batteries that are in many of these kits (i.e. Toolstation)

Plastic chuck on drill, although brushless. Seems odd to pair 5ah batteries with a DIY plastic chuck.

I have this drill and the dcd796 and thought the plastic chuck would be crap too, but it's not. It's fine. Holds great and is actually easier on the hands.

Btw I reach for this almost always over the 796 due to it's compact size and performance, despite the plastic exterior chuck. (edited)

That's a great price. Paid 165 for this a few months ago and it was great even at that price. The drill is very good.

That’s strange. This looks exactly the same as the Makita one I bought recently (I don’t car which is better before anyone pipes up).
Just seems odd. Same size, shape, and silver metal part

Maybe Makita are coming out of the same Chinese factory as Dewalt now?! The chuck on my Dewalt and my previous Dewalt drill was rubbish, it sometimes won't tighten/loosen just jams up. Angle grinder switch has been badly made since day 1. Not as good as they used to be, corners getting cut from all angles.
