How high a data rate would this deliver as a "5G modem"? Even when fitted with a USB C wired ethernet adapter? I suspect not more than a 4G cabled modem would deliver. Especially an outdoor one/one with external antennae.

Sorry, I am feeling very let down by "4g/5G" internet at the moment. I'm actually going back to 4MBit/sec ADSL - because at least it was reasonably reliable. Yes, I could get far faster than that from mobile internet - but it came with long periods of low speeds/long latency.

I’ve had 300-500mb peak download using phone with usb c to Ethernet adapter with pass through connected to home router
The limiting factor would be the signal but looking at the deal with 3s dedicated 5g router the feedback has been very mixed.

That's what is putting me off buying. This model was released three years ago. I don't normally go for the latest phones but ideally, I tend to buy budget phones from decent brands about 1 year or so after their release and keep them for about 4 years- which is how old these things tend to last me. I don't mind if the item is a return but if it's already 3 year old technology, realistically, it might be better holding out for a newer model.

Still available. Mine arrived in perfect condition.Dual sim too. £50 for a new 5G phone can't be bad
