The original price is £169.95, but its been discounted down to £119.95. Can get an extra 15% with the code I've included (coffeebloguk-cIxwJwMaJf) from Coffee Kev! Steal at this price for a grinder that can achieve grinds for espresso.

This is the baby brother to the Sage Smart Grinder Pro using the same burr set etc. The main difference is that it is slightly smaller and doesn't have the screen to dial in what you want.

Should be eligible for a 15% discount from Kev @ coffeeblog as well, making it £102 from Sage Direct, right?

Lot of money for a grinder. I don't really understand what's the deal with these. Surely a basic grinder will do the same job or just get an all in one machine. I'm sure the grind will make some difference it's it really worth it

It's all about the consistency of the grind. Bigger burrs generally give a better quality coffee, and find investing in the grinder means far more than a better espresso machine - that is once you move to past a pressurised portafilter.52624361-t75Iu.jpg

I've got this and a Bambino and I don't really have anything bad to say about it. Great little piece of kit that does the job really well. Highly recommend it if your in the market for one.

Just remember that like anything you need to put the effort in to get good results. Time your shots and adjust settings accordingly.

Agreed. Its a whole process that you're investing in. Personally, I use precision scales to weigh in the amount of ground coffee and the liquid espresso I get out to achieve consistency. It's not for everyone, but for those who are interested, its worth the hassle

I have the Sage Pro grinder - this basically with a digital display. Its great. The appeal of the separate grinder is the ability to grind to different consistency with different amounts, I still have a drip machine so will use the standalone grinder to grind coffee for that when needed.

Seen enough bean to cup machines break to know I'll stick to a high quality grinder and cheap drip filter machine. Not putting all my eggs in one basket. (edited)

disclaimer alert - it's a grinder! As I'm sure someone (must be at least 1 person) will buy expecting to receive a coffee machine

I have the Homtone coffee grinder off Amazon.  It was a gift and I was slightly disappointed it wasn’t Sage.  The Homtone is brilliant and my coffee is now tasting fantastic again with fresh beans ground to my choice / perfection.  Highly recommend Homtone grinder.
