Details

The GEL-EXCITE 9 shoe is a comfortable trainer for the casual fitness runner.

Thanks to its engineered jacquard mesh upper, this material increases airflow while creating a softer feel against your foot.

A combination of AMPLIFOAM cushioning and GEL technology are placed in the midsole. These features provide better impact absorption with a more forgiving landing at footstrike.

Features

  • Engineered jacquard mesh upper creates a softer feel against the foot while improving breathability
AMPLIFOAM cushioning improves durability and creates a more flexible feel at footstrike
  • Rearfoot GEL technology improves impact absorption and creates a softer feeling at footstrike
OrthoLite sockliner provides soft step-in comfort
  • GUIDANCE LINE technology provides a more consistent stride

Bought these last time they come up. Without a doubt the comfiest trainers straight out of the box I’ve ever owned.

Definitely a summer trainer, feet get absolutely soaked with any rain but will definitely feel the benefits of the breathable upper in the summer

Agreed on both points. Been using this range for years, great for running and comfy too

There any good for casual tennis?

They are a causal running shoe so would probably say they are decent for Tennis too if not looking to get specific tennis shoes.

I just got this yesterday, normally wear 10 or 10.5, but I bought a size 11. Hugs your foot well so a bit tight but the length is good with about half a inch of empty space at the front, so I won't bother getting a size up

IMO not worth anywhere near £80 but for under £35 you cannot go wrong for casual exercise, daily runs etc
I'm a 10.5 shoe and find these in an 11 fit perfectly.

I don’t think much is worth their RRP these days
But agree more than worth it when they are on sale.

Return free or do we pay for it?
Signed up as a new member and bought two pairs, in case one doesn't fit well hence bought two different sizes
Can I return unwanted pair without paying for the return postage? (edited)

Free, I returned the same trainer last week as they are very narrow fitting

What's the difference between this and the gt800?
    JT89's avatar
I’d say these are better than the GT800. They certainly feel more stable than the GT800. Definitely worth the extra ££ in my opinion.
