Skip this and grab the battery mower from either Lidl/Aldi and a spare brick

The difference in noise alone worth it. (edited)

I have been using petrol mowers for a long time. Last year I went Electric cordless and I will never look back. So much easier and no hassle and its the future.

I did the same and got a GTech. What a heap of c##p. Never stops clogging up and battery life is woeful.

The deck on mine rusted through over the Winter, so I'm trying to decide whether to just replace the deck or, now, buy one of these. 0.85L tank? My present one has a two litre tank and that can just about manage one trim of the garden. Which makes it quite an expensive exercise. However, it takes me a couple of hours - so an electric one would probably consume 4kWHr. Not really that much of a difference. I think that I will go for this one. The replacement deck is nearly 50GBP inc delivery. +

Evening does Anyone no if this would have the Mulch function without the need for the collection box please ??
    mogsog's avatar
Prop open the grass box and wear glasses and shorts?

    Pretty much mulchs doesn't it?

Hmm a pretty decent self propelled with a larger collection bag is about £220 eg Screwfix Titan... This is dirt cheap but I think I'd end up replacing it sooner (edited)

No leaver for height adjustment. You have to take out individual wheels to adjust height.

I would rather spend a bit more and buy this toolstation.com/haw…784 (edited)

£79 is not really a bit more, it's nearly twice the price

    Hi.

Can anyone please tell me what the difference is between this model and the PBRM41 model.

    Which is the better lawnmower?

    See link - hotukdeals.com/dea…353

    Thanks.

This machine is OK but is a throwaway product as spares availability is limited and sporadic. In these days of enviro evangelism, you'd think that if actions against climate change were driven by a genuine need for mankind to consume less rather than an excuse to charge us more for the basics of existence, products like this would be banned but they're not.
The machine itself is quite small and very light with a grass collector that fills very quickly. The biggest frustration for me would be the height adjuster. It's details like this which make it a poor choice but it's still a petrol mower for little more a good night out which would do nothing to get my garden tidy although for a few hours at least, I wouldn't care how my garden looked.
If this really is your budget or you need a small mower then there's nothing wrong with this.
On the plus side, it uses neither batteries nor an electric chord however if you spend more, you'll find better but even spending twice as much, you can still encounter the issues this has so overall, not a bad buy.

Used it last night after i managed to sort the wheels out, one of the bolts wasnt behaving, but got there in the end, it started ok and cut well, i wouldnt say its small(bigger than the electric one i was using), yea collection box not huge, for the money its a good purchase, hopefully it lasts a few years with a little care, never had a parkside product but they have been going for a few years now so touchwood all will be good

Having no cables to avoid is a god send

Btw: someone knows oil Castrol 10w40 4T Racing for motorbikes would be suitable for this lawnmower?

Manual says SAE10w30 or 10w40. (edited)
