About this deal
Great price, part of the BA sale, Good availability from this May all the way to next March. BA's baggage allowance is fairly generous, allowing you 2 pieces of hand luggage, so works out better than the Norse deals (if you wanted any hand luggage allowance). Flights are from Gatwick & Heathrow.
New York City comprises 5 boroughs sitting where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. Its iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park. Broadway theater is staged in neon-lit Times Square. ― Google
Example Dates: (3 for each month, various length options not just 1 week.)

sorted byCabin baggage - what's included:
Also worth noting this works over the Valentine's period next year (also book directly with BA, I just used Skyscanner as it's easier to display the prices) (edited)
also just learnt that BA allows two hand luggage, up to 23kg each. that is very generous! (edited)
I'm flying BA later this year and dread something going wrong
Stick or twist
Last time I went, it was cheaper for me to have a day in the city and then to fly to Miami and have a couple of nights in a nice hotel there than it was for one night in NYC, and it wasn't even a busy tourist time.
As said, hotels are $$$$. $250-$600 a night seem pretty common, but then again, a lot of US places seem to be at least double what we might pay in the UK.
Even redeeming hotel points isn't worth it half the time. I've seen half the hotels going for 120k IHG points a night on some days and these could even be in less popular areas.
Also would you know of any tour operators which would cover Niagara falls from NYC. (edited)
Anyone remember when that has changed?
(My wife travels with 2 small kids and has always needed a large suitcase, which was previously included but not anymore. I guess if she chooses the next level she'll be allowed to 3 large suitcases, even though she just needs one?)
Then long haul jumped on the bandwagon
Might not be luxurious as a hotel, but sometimes they're c£50 a night for a bed in a shared room (private rooms might be available) and convenient if you're going to be out all day anyway, or have a short time in the city.
I.e. arrive later in the evening, sleep, tourist things, fly out. Better than £250 for a hotel.
