About this deal

Good deal for this watch, there is a deal for slightly less from First Class Watches however that one is ex-display and this one is brand new.

Product description:

The Case:The case is a beautiful brushed stainless steel. The diameter is 38mm with a thickness that measures 10mm, it is a slim watch that is able to fit a range of wrists. The skeleton screw-down case back allows the wearer to view the inner mechanisms of the watch.

The Dial:The dial of the watch is black, which accentuates the white numerals and markers every five minutes, as well as the minute marks and further sub ticks to break down each minute/second into five parts. The dial also features the ‘Hamilton’ logo in the same tone, as well as ‘Khaki Automatic’ being situated above the 6 o’clock mark. A subtle nod to the watches militaristic roots is the military time feature in the inner ring.

It also features stylish syringe hands for both hour and minute, they have a elegant pointer at the ends of each of them. They consist of lime paint, with a delicate silver polished outline on them, which brings a real spark to them when the light catches them. The inclusion of an red arrow hand design for the second hand is an eye-catching feature that gives a modern look to the piece. Domed scratch-resistant sapphire glass blends perfectly into the fixed, polished bezel, giving the watch a very clean appearance. A ‘H’ embossed, brushed silver crown is situated next to the 3 o’clock marker, reminding the wearer that this is a field watch, it also gives the watch a masculine feel. Hacking functionality has also been applied so that when the crown is pulled out the time will stop. It is also manuel winding.

The Bracelet:The bracelet is a real quality feature of this timepiece. It consists of four brushed stainless steel links. It is an oyster-style with a unique split-link design for the centre links, giving the watch a complete look. Apush-button deployment clasp is also present.

The Movement:The Khaki Field also features Hamilton’s H-10 produced movement. This mechanism is made by the Swatch company, where it is laser regulated. It is also found in Tissot watches too. It is one of the most attractive features of this watch, as it offers an astounding 80 power reserve. Comparatively, a standard mechanical watch will hold time for around 40 hours. It operates at a rate of 21,600 v/p/h which is why the watch is able to boats such impressive power reserves, because it is easier on the gears. It consists of 25 jewels and you can expect to loose or gain around 3 seconds a day. The wearer is able to view the inner mechanisms, such as the ‘Hamilton’ embossed bi-directional winding rotor, through the open back case.

This watch has a water resistance of 100 metres, making it suitable for swimming and snorkelling.

Nice looking watch. For those (like me!) that can't justify the spend but like the look of this then this homage is avaliable on amazon for £90 (or about £60 from Aliexpress for those that don't mind buying direct from China):

I was just going to say that it is similar to my Tandorio, which is available on a beautiful stainless strap with a butterfly clasp for not a lot more than the ones in the link, 36mm but there are also 39mm versions with different dials - both of which wear small as there is a nice curve to the case. You can also buy either strap/case for under £20 for DIY projects. Not very waterproof according to the reviews but they are regulated to get timekeeping down to plus or minus ten seconds a day., or better if the tolerances run the right way.
