Do these cordless lawnmowers have enough power to cut longer/ wet grass?
    djp2k8's avatar
You'd want something with a higher volt. I have a black & decker 36v, which is now about 5 years old. The batteries don't last long enough on it if the grass is too long, & it will sometimes struggle on longer grass, but that's mainly down to me not putting it in a higher setting & wanting to cut it to the length I've set for only a one run mow. However, I would never get a corded mower again & will always stick with battery mowers from now on. (edited)

Been on the lookout for one with a decent powered battery - Just ordered, nice additional discount there made all the difference. Thanks.

reading the site info it says run time on the battery with NO load 25mins. then 60min charge.

I love a cordless mower, I have a large garden, so it will do 3/4 then I charge again and do the edges while waiting its lasted 5 years now without any issues. It is a flymo but imagine same thing. have had petrol and electric but this has been great for me as a women as its so light to mow. Anyway if I needed one now, I would get this such a good price. Very tempted as I wonder how long my present battery will last

Got it at the reduced price.

Cuts much better than my old Flymo, grass fairly long and it did a really good job.

Stopped a couple of times when I got ambitious in long stuff, but overall very positive.

Any idea on the cutting width?
    sashforth's avatar
I don't mean to be rude but if you read the OP, it clearly states that the cutting width is 330mm.

I would be tempted, but spare batteries are currently £89.99 on Amazon. I would want to go for something that was decent, but spare batteries were cheap.

Yeah, fair point. I think the base model will be more expensive. Although there might be a way to install other brand's battery with adapter… not sure but I've seen many 3d printed adapter for parkside and ferrex batteries.

Are these cordless lawnmowers any use, whats the recommended models to go with?
    sashforth's avatar
I can only comment on the mowers that I have used.

I currently own the WORX WG730E 30cm cordless 20V which I paid £95 for. It works pretty well as long as I don't try to cut the grass when it is damp or too long. I have fairly small lawns in the front and the back gardens so it does me fine.

I have used a Black & Decker which was much bigger and more powerful but was a bit cumbersome to use and bigger than I really needed.

whats the life of it, i have over 1200m sq of lawn in one area, will it cut that on 1 battery
    Ciaran_Byrne's avatar
    No. But batteries are cheap

Haven’t read any reviews, but seems a good price on the face of it. I just dropped the £220 for the Ryobi equivalent.

Ryobi is probably a better pick if you have the money for that. (edited)
